I swear this one highway near me is a death trap. The most current accident involved 14 vehicles, many of which were tractor trailors.... a few people at least died so far. The road was shut down for 18 hours- just reopened. I HATE this highway.... I try to avoid driving on it when I can. It's two narrow lanes on each side and the entrances and exits....well, there really arent ramps or room to enter on a seperate lane... The speed limit is 55 to 65 but everyone goes about 80 and as I said, the lanes are very narrow and the highway is full of sharp turns. There are accidents on that road alllll the time. Oh and the highway is rough, not smooth.
Boy, maybe they should increase the law enforcement on that road? And sounds like there needs to be some serious construction on it, too.
Yes, because a cruiser parked on the side of a two lane high way sure isnt going to clog the hell out of traffic and cause more accidents. Ive been there, seen that. The real solution is to just suck it up and allow natural selection to take out all the idiots on the road. Eventually, it will be pure
i always hated driving 666. not because of spookiness, though. two lane, half of them are drunk, the other half are truckers on crank. fucked up. little roadside memorials for people...but i'll never forget susan screaming out the window at some guy driving 35 "if you wanna go that fucking slow, get a fucking horse!!"
Appalachia is good for bad roads..Everything here is so old, & squeezed in. Tons of two lane higways that should be backroads.. The asphalt breaks up...Maybe they put too much slag in the mix?
