    Unbalanced Harmony

Slow down, you move too fast,
You got to make the morning last,
    Skipping down the cobblestones,
Looking for fun and feeling groovy!
Far out, freaky, and funky for sure,
After, taking a few more bong hits!
The wind is blowing hard, can't light it!
So, slow down there, enjoy the view,
Drop out, tune in, come and feel the vibes.
Mother Nature is calling to us all to join her,
Let your hair fall down, as low as it can go,
Whenever harmony is lost, balance will be restored.
Take your cloths off if it makes you comfortable,
For Childhood's End is never-ending, in Never-never land!
Our feet sculpt the earth, as the way shapes our feet,
Many paths, one mountain, as each ascends the stairway to heaven.
The Gathering is just up ahead, past the Grateful Dead,
And, through the Gateway to Paradise,
Where a hidden treasure awaits us all.
    We Love You!!! Welcome Home!!!

This is a fun example of how much hippies sometimes enjoy playing with words and metaphors. It describes an ordinary Rainbow Gathering in playful terms, as if we are children excited about camping out with our best friends. Hippies often say, "We are all Ugly Ducklings ascending the stairway to heaven, and whenever harmony is lost, balance will be restored". The trick, of course, is to avoid falling in the first place, or fall gracefully, but get back up again. The more fun a toddler has, the less it slows them down.
