    Hi!

I used to be on this forum with my first set, and decided to return with this one!

These are my new 1 week old set... I had them done last Saturday in Toronto (awesome chick!) via crochet, no wax or anything. Been palm rolled twice and washed once since. I love them already and can't wait till they start maturing like my original set did (but without the wax and bands and crap they had... oh, first time mistake!).

Here they are at 3 days (in a bun till the ends tighten a bit):

    And today at one week:

I don't get them realli, is your hair being pulled super tight? Why is your scalp visable? You have thick hair but then I can see your scalp.

Thanks guys! I think my hair is naturally good at dreading - I always had trouble with it natural. I haven't done much to these and am amazed at how quickly they are shaping up!!

Luxiebow, I had to laugh out loud at this!! My hair is sooooo super fine I can't believe how good it looks in dreads. That's why you can see my scalp so easily. My natural hair is poker straight, fine and thin. Here's a pic of before - that's ALL the hair on my head in front of my shoulders (parted down the middle and pulled forward). :D

My last set were done with wax and it just got to me. You can find further explanation in my other recent thread (sorry, just tired of having to defend myself on why I took em out!)

As for "too maintained" - they were done with a crochet hook and haven't been messed with much in a week. Sorry they look too maintained to you, that's the way I like my dreads! :)
