I love Iron & Wine, Devendra Banhart, Ryan Adams, Wilco and the Grateful Dead, of course. Hey, welcome.. Yes, I play guitar too.. Play in two bands acctually, one is a "heavy top 40/alternative" band, and the other is a nice Jamband... (lots of dead/phish, etc)... Too bad your in Pensylvainia.. were always looking for new musicians to join our heart filled band.
Hey Kelly, I also play guitar and have been for 30+ years. I have a large range of genre From Folk to Oldies, Classic Rock, punk, New Wave, Grung, you get the picture. Let me extend the welcome mat. I recently found “The Hip Forums” myself and I know what it’s like to be a newcomer. You don’t really know what to say or how to act. Read some of the threads so you can get the gist of what topics are being discussed. When you feel comfortable jump right in and get your feet wet. Nobody here is going to “Flame” you, that just isn’t tolerated here (unless it’s necessary) lol. We get some assholes here who just want to stir up bad vibes... From what I’ve found so far is that we are one big family with many brothers and sisters. Once again the doors open come on in, open up your heart and mind, put on some groovy tunes, kick back and stay awhile. Welcome Sister, You seem to have a bright soul... to find yourself.....just be true to your heart & soul, and be gentle & kind to the world & people around you. You'll find that you have always been on the path to true discovery, and may always be on that path at one point or another... Remember the truth lies in the journey, NOT on the destination, not where it ultimately leads you, not where you are this moment in time. There's always time to change the roads you're on! My suggestion to a cool young Lady... like yourself.... Live like you were dyin'! I DO! I find it exhilerating, daily. Never give up the opportunity to help a stranger, or friend, or tell someone you love, that you Love them deeply.
