Just signed on (finally) after popping in and out of here for about a year. Right away, this should tell you that at heart I'm just a shy lil' lurker. Funny thing is, I joined just so I could take a peek at some of the political forums only to find that I have to make 100 POSTS before I'm even considered a member! Now, as a natural (or lazy - take your pick) lurker, this could take a while. Plus, I'm the world's slowwwest typist. My son's floating around this board somewhere, although I don't know what name he posts under. Not that it matters - I doubt our paths will cross too often as I'll probably be hanging out mostly on the Old Hippies forum `cuz that's what I am - OLD,OLD,OLD!!! Anyway, nice to meet you all. Sorry for the ramble and the lack of lines between paragraphs. Oh well, if nothing else, I may actually learn how to type as I make my way to those political boards. Peace, Christine

Thanks to All for the warm welcome. I know I'll find plenty of like-minded as well as not-so-like-minded but friendly company here. This is one of the nicest boards around. And,hey look! Hi, Jeph - Thanks for the welcome. Hailtotheking... Being old doesn't really bother me, although I may have given that impression in my first post. As far as slowness is concerned, I think I was born that way. Slow and Stop seem to be my top speeds. The tortoise must be my power animal. Crayola - True,true,true.
