This is the first time I've signed up to join a forum. I have been checking this forum out in hopes of finding some online friends. My man spends alot of time on some other forums, so I thought I would give it a try, too. I'm a child of the 60's and remember the love and peace movement; love beads, bell bottoms, hip huggers, mood rings, flower power....Those were the good ol' days. Of course I was only about 7 years old then. I guess I would say at this stage of my life I am into freedom, truth and justice which does not exist in this country, and how can I live in this world with a peaceful soul, which is being proven to be a very difficult task for me. I struggle with trying not to be so negative, but when all you have believed in turns out to be a farce, it's hard not to be negative, angry and have feelings of hopelessness. Don't get me wrong, I love to laugh and therefore whenever I do watch the tube or a movie, I usually choose a comedy. I am not a materalistic person, which is kinda an unusal quality in most men and women I know, so most of the time, I feel like I don't fit in. So, here I am. I'm looking forward to participating with you folks in this forum.
Thanks, wiggy. I'm sure I will. I've been an observer for a couple of weeks, reading threads of interest to me and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Seems to be some really good people here and such a variety of topics to discuss. Happy Sunday morning to ya.

Gizzee, I too am all of the above, I was "THE" very first person in my home town to ever wear, "Bell Bottom," jeans, man did I catch a lot of shit, but only a few weeks later, they were all over the place. I also trucked around with a flower in my golden locks. Yes,those were the days,tripping down memory lane.
