hey mycologists

hey, i want to grow non-psilocybe mushrooms for my senior project... what is the prettiest looking mushroom you can think of, and would i be able to get spores off the internet?

Mmm. Give Ganoderma lucidum (reishi) a shot. Not the prettiest looking shroom, but taken in the form of tea every morning, you'll feel great all through the day - like after that first cup of coffee, but all day and with no comedown.

Or cortiseps, which actually sprout out of the heads of living insects. (Cool!) Terrence McKenna had an ant colony where he was growing cortiseps.

non psilocybe... not for effects, for prettyest looking one i can find...

just for show.

 

the shroomery has a forum just for non-psychoactive shrooms...
& some if the vendors sell edible & medicinal & "other" mushroom spores & spawn (non-psychedelic, ok?)

easy to grow, tasty and really nice looking.

 

Fungi Perfecti has all kinds of neat ones....
