To those of you who've done heroin, can you explain what it's like? All I've heard is that it's like a massive body orgasm of euphoria that takes away every worry you have (the reason I understand how mentally addictive it can be). I have some other questions too if you don't mind answering:

    - What's the withdrawal like?
    - Did you take power or black tar? If you've done both, is there any real difference other than the strength?
    - How much of it has what effect?
    - Did you have a strong (mental) desire to take it again?
    - Did you become addicted to it? If so, for how long?

I'm not gonna even go near heroin so don't worry lol, I'm just curious. I've heard a lot of this stuff before but I thought it'd be better to get some answers from people who've actually done it and aren't in documentaries.

While Ive never seen nor taken Heroin before, thank goodness I live in FL where its very hard to find, we are into opiates that come in pill form, I cant imagine that the feeling of Heroin isnt unlike some of the opiates we take in pill form. Aside from the rush when taken via IV. Due to the cheapness of it as well, Heroin does come from the same plant, derived in some form, as all the opiates we take in pill form. Im not gonna attempt to answer any of your questions but am curious as well to hear what youve asked.....

I think people should have in mind that something extremely addictive doesn't mean it's mostly cuz it produces wonderful high. Perfect example is nicotine.

Not saying that H doesn't produce very pleasant high but I have feeling many people are fascinated with cuz they don't understand why and how people get addicted. I didn't try it I.V. so maybe that's why I think this way.

Yeah, obviously the drug is both mentally and physically addictive. Mental addiction would be more of a worry for me than first time comedown/withdrawal though.

About a year back, my girlfriend and I were getting a bit tired of our experimentations in our current poly-drug journies. At the time I was living in Denver where H is sold commonly and generally also with cocaine as well. Well we bought some, smoked it on the 16th street mall, and were both very pleased with the mellow pillow of euphoria that gently washed over us. My problems entirely dissolved from thought

From there is where our problems started however...

I'm weird, and prefer drugs for their experiences and temporary madnesses rather than the ones that simply hold a comfortable emotion in a capsule. With heroin, you're definitely dealing with the latter. So for this (even though I'm male), was not too drawn into the lifestyle I could see it bringing. Contentment for me, was simply safer with my interests holding true to the taking care, growth and consumption of my bud and mush.

My girlfriend on the other hand began to creep back into downtown in her personal free-time to buy more and more H tar and powder, and cocaine because she loved the hedonist mix that a speed-ball brought her as well. I would tell her that we were both addicted even in our limited use because we talked, thought, and gave reason to the mindless drug so very much.

Well as the story goes, my gf got kicked out of her house within 2 months and was soon in jail where my own dumbass was foolish enough to pay her bail only for her to get out and use even harder and in higher quantities, and I began consuming it again with her. The light fruity taste that it made when snorted or smoked was bringing us justification that it couldn't be that bad for us because it had tasty hints of naturalness. Not too soon later though, she was in jail again and I was so peeved and poor that I could not make her bail and I ran off to a much mellower city in the CO to hopefully drop-out of the time-vacuum that is the H-scene.

3 months later, my girlfriend is at my new place, knocking at my door after somehow finding where I live. She surprisingly wasn't pissed at me, and had a new well paying 'modeling' job that let her buy a car, an apartment in Denver, and yes, extremely potent and large tar-balls no longer wrapped in balloons but rather reese's mini pb cups. Well we began getting high again and nodding off onto each other after long rounds of sex (I can last literally forever on some good H). But I began realizing that my anxieties when sober were becoming incredibly intense, delusional, and I was growing in pointless paranoia; this new sobriety scared me into quitting because I could see down the long dark tunnel of addiction that began to grip me. It was challenging and perhaps a dick move, but I never called my gf again and did so on the excuse that her modeling job was either that of a prostitute or internet porn actress as she couldn't even remember what her "manager" was called and her hours were always 11 pm and later. (trust me, I'm still certain my suspicions weren't deluded, and even if, we were falling into a new form of insanity quite FAST)

I haven't heard from her since as she was already horribly consumed by her addiction and probably no longer cared (or even noticed) that I was no longer in her life. She wasn't partial to shooting up, I would have to do it for her, but would rather smoke foilys because she had the money to support this not as effective method. However the warning I give is that she was also unknowingly smoking the aluminum as well and her resulting coughs were growing inhuman and probably very painful.

Long story and that was the significantly trimmed down version. I have never told it to anyone including my very good friends, but I figure this anonymous posting will get this past off my chest and warn others of the dangers when they're thinking its something worth fucking around with. Keep to your 'honest' naturals! Remember drugs should be for an already great time made greater, not like this, my story is just sickening

Damn man, sounds horrible. I'm glad you stopped where you did though and didn't go any further. As for "drugs should be for an already great time made greater", very true. Anyways, cheers for the story, and hopefully it'll help a few people if they read this before making a bad decision.

I have done heroin back in the early 70's in Harlem - met a guy and went to a shooting gallery. As with many opiates, you get a nice body high and a feeling of being wasted with no pain, and what the fuck if you do - you don't care. Full body orgasm - no way man. You want full body orgasm mainline Coke. That is full body orgasm.

Careful with heroin man - though there are a hell of a lot of worse drugs.

    Hi, GK420.

As BottleFED told you, the five or so people who have significant experience with opioids in this forum (him and I being two of them), are on pharmaceutical regimens. However, we can still lend insight into your query, as, despite what most people say, all opioids are pretty much the same (expect things like Tramadol and Darvocet which have non-opioid properties).

I am experienced mostly with Oxycodone and Suboxone. Heroin (equi-potently), lies somewhere between the two, stronger than Oxy, but weaker than Suboxone (unless you are tolerant and are above the 'ceiling', but that is getting too complicated for this discussion).

The thing about H is that it is injected, so it reaches the brain quickly, and it is metabolized into the very lipid-soluable 6-MAM compound, which is highly euphoric. From my experience with the opioids I know, I can tell you that they are both physically and mentally addictive. And the tolerance (and subsequent addictions) can build RAPIDLY. I'll answer your questions you layed out in bullets:

    - What's the withdrawal like? It is akin to having a severe flu in every way. You get hot-cold flashes, you are restless but tired, you ache in every single place you could imagine. Time slows down to the point where minutes seem like hellish hours. Although it only lasts (purportedly) eight days (I have never completed a full non-chemically-assisted w/d), after the second night, you are ready to commit suicide, literally.
    - Did you take power or black tar? If you've done both, is there any real difference other than the strength? Like I said, I used pharmaceuticals, but as to the question, tar is mainly 6-MAM and adulturants, which has to be 'skin popped' rather than injected IV. It is a slower rush but actually can be stronger than regular H if there aren't many adulterants.
    - How much of it has what effect? For a new person, very small amounts of any opioid produce strong effects.
    - Did you have a strong (mental) desire to take it again? After my first big opioid high (a Hydrocodone experience about 5 years ago from an injury), I was determined to take them as much as I could for the rest of my life. It was that much of a 'hook' to me.
    - Did you become addicted to it? If so, for how long? I became physically addicted only about a year ago, despite getting scripts on-and-off for 3 years as well as a short period of illegal use of Oxycodone.

I hope that helps. There are a few people here who have done Heroin regularly, so hopefully they chime in.

Hey, thanks a lot for your post. I've only recently started to notice that, as you said, even the pharmaceutical form/use of opiates is quite a nasty road most of the time. What interests me about heroin/opiates though is the mental desire people such as yourself have experienced to keep taking it, as opposed to the physical addiction side. As for the withdrawal, I can only imagine what it must feel like (and don't particularly want to find out lol). Again, cheers for the answers.

Yeah. The mental effects of opioids are honestly like nothing else I have ever experienced. The real 'draw' of the whole set of effects is simply the fact that it impairs your ability to function normally so little that you come to the conclusion that the 'opiated' state of being is actually the SUPERIOR way to live as a human being. Strangely, it is pretty hard to actually argue AGAINST that proposition, but due to the big T (tolerance), trying to live that life starts to become a problem after awhile. I'd imagine that is how most addictions begin.

im going to reply to this properly later but from my pretty experienced position..I have found very little difference between Heroin and Oxycodone..the rush differs but to me subjectively theres little difference. They are both almost identical strength wise..

You must be getting some bunk H then. Oxycodone when snorted or injected is the closest to H of all opoids, but nothing truly compares to H.

From personal experience just stay away from Heroin. There is nothing so pleasurable and sickening as melting it down and putting it in a vein.

I haven't done Heroin in a few months, but just the thought of it gives me an itch. It's a hard feeling to describe but when you first hit that vein there's something inside of you that changes forever, and not in a good way.

Yeah I suppose that's how they begin. Even if I did do heroin, I'd know it wasn't the right way to live every day from seeing other people's lives go down the drain as a result of it.

What I described, though, is more applicable to a person experimenting for the first time, with an opioid pill like Hydrocodone or Codeine. People generally don't just 'start off' with heroin. It is generally a last resort, after their tolerance is so high that they can't support a pill habit anymore. Or, at least, in the last 20 years or so, that is how the majority of cases are.

Definately true, the majority of drug users would never consider using heroin. But, when it starts costing someone 20,30,40 bucks a day just to keep away the dope sickness, that needle starts to look awfully good.

I do have a problem however with statements suggesting very little difference between Heroin and other opiates. Yes, Heroin is an opiate, but there is nothing that compares to that instant rush of euphoria. Heroin is truly on a level of it's own.

    "Ok, just a little pinprick
and there will be no more AHHHHHHHHH
but you may feel a little sick"

I have never had H withdrawal. I am actually partial to H. I have shot up H every day sometimes twice a day for a week or more and quit for a long time just fine. I actually hate the feeling when I do too much, I get nauseated, sick and I throw up, makes me want to stop doing it for a while. While useful for passing the time when boredom sets in, H is not my favorite drug.

I have injected both black tar and powder. I think black tar is stronger.

I have no strong mental desire to take it again. Never been addicted. Had bad withdrawals/addiction to coke and benzos, but never H. That's just me.

Also, I beat all my addictions, and don't even smoke or drink anymore with no rehab or professional help. I just realized that even though getting high feels good, it doesn't get you anywhere.

It's cool that you can turn it on and then turn it off like that. Lot's of us can't.
That last sentence is nonsensical. "even though getting high feels good". That's the whole point man. Sex won't get you anywhere either - but it sure feels good.

Heroin feels like a warm blanket wrapped around your body and all that shit the first few times if you inject it, and it's good quality, thats why I only injected a few times when I started doing Heroin. After that I chilled a while and started snorting really good powder heroin, and I still ended up hooked, but nowdays I try and avoid all opiates, including Oxy's ,hydrocodone etc..If I get some I end up taking a lot of them and go back to snorting heroin..It's a nice high and all ,especially at first, but after a while you have to take it, or another opiate just to not get sick, so thats no good..anyway I tried tar two times, it's not common here, powder is, so I only smoked some tar ,and it was ok IMO, but I think I probably wasted a bit of the smoke as I was used to snorting powder heroin.
