if i get tested for heroin and i just took a couple vicodin, will it show up as heroin and how long does vicodin stay in your system? is it even an opiate?

Some tests are really specific, and will tell the reader the exact agent used, not just if it was an opiate or something else. Other tests (usually the ones jobs use to "test" employees) are the less specific ones. BTW, the less specific ones are more likely to give false postives, too.

It depends on what test they are using.

i remember reading on erowid.org that vicodins don't come up as an opiate.

Round here many Labs will confirm positives w/a GC test to cover everyone's arse as long as the employer/client is willing to pay.

Some labs even do the GC at no additional charge...
