For those who don't recognize the reference, "Here's your sign" is a Blue Collar Comedy reference to people doing stupid things worthy of hanging an, "I'm an idiot" sign around their neck.

    Here's mine:

Stationed in Germany we'd have to pull a 24 hour guard shift 2-3 times/month. We didn't have MPs on our base so had to guard the motor pool, airfield, and man the gates ourselves.

Prior to every guard shift we'd get all our gear, draw weapons from the arms room, and be marched down to HQ for our "Deadly Force" briefing. Some poor LT would have to read it verbatim from a sign.

The Deadly Force briefing included, "Before firing a warning shot, call out Halt in English and the local language..."

It took me a good 18 months to figure out that Halt in the local language is...."Halt". I felt like an idiot when I finally figured it out. Or more appropriately, a dummkopf.

    "Here's my sign"
