Here comes Charlie

First hurrican to hit this part of florida in years. Everyone is going crazy, its pretty comical. I stopped to get some gas, the station was a complete zoo and I watched too ladies in their 40's start smacking each other over who's turn it was to use the pump .

Should be a real mess around here tomorrow, might lose power for a few days.

yeah - the weather people are pretty boring, can't have any fun with it. Bonnie and Clyde would have been the logical choice.

We have a tornado warning right now. So exciting. I have never been near a tornado.

Do you have a spot you can go to dhs to keep you safe?

 

even if you dont get damage it sucks when ur electricity goes out

 

I'm a couple of miles in land, so they haven't issued an evacuation for here. There are few keys (Casey, Siesta, Longboat) that kinda block the storm surge - everyone has to be off those by 4pm today.

 

That sucks man, I hope you'll be alright. My sister lives in Charleston, SC, and both of the hurricanes are supposed to move through there sometime next week, which is the same week that my parents are going down there to visit her.

We are starting to get wind and thunder now. The tornado is close by.

I love the intensity right before a storm. The wind, the darkness. The energy is awsome. I just hate to see the damage.

I just saw The Dead on Saturday and Cosmic Charlie was the encore. It was TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!

Well, they recently upped the ante - their predicting a category 3 now. Batten down the hatches, this baby looks like she's gonna blow!!


Probably not though, I think the weather reporters have felt left out in instilling fear in the general public. Their standard news reporter buddies get to do that everyday so why shouldn't the weather man have a little fun right?

 

i think they have agreements with the hardware and grocery stores to make things out to be much worse than what they will be.
