Put some canned tuna or soft cat food on your porch for now and start looking around your neighborhood. She more than likely went looking for somewhere to hide in the bad weather.
Even if shes an indoor cat there natural insticts kick in when they have to. I wouldnt worry. I would Start asking your neighbors and put some signs up with her pic on them. My cat got out last winter and didnt come back for 2 days,
showed up on the 3rd day on our porch meowing. And she had never been out either.

    Good luck...keep us posted

yeah, skye mentioned the cat seeking shelter in the cold weather, and that made me think of another thing.. is your cat fairly social? perhaps someone found her outside and brought her in?

that's kind of how i got my kitty... my old neighbors threw him out, and he came clawing at my old back porch. the neighbors said we could keep him, cause they wanted to get rid of him anyway. maybe some little girl 'adopted' your kitty, or she was mewing at the wrong door. if you're in an apartment, you might want to ask your neighbors or talk to the leasing office. otherwise, putting some signs up might help, too. does she have a collar/id tag?

you might want to check out the local animal shelters, too. maybe animal control picked her up cause it was so cold out. or maybe someone found her and took her to a shelter. if your address/number is on the tag though, this might not be likely... then again, most kitty collars are 'break-away' or whatever that safety feature is called, and it might have gotten snagged on a branch and gotten lost in the snow.

good luck finding your cat. it's horrible when a pet is missing, but the best i can say is to keep a positive focus and stay calm. and try not to assume the worst, though i guess that goes along with staying positive and calm.

Cats are survivors. Mine ran away once and I thought for sure she was gone. She came back seven days later to the hour (pregnant). Your cat will probably come back.

Just in case, do what lawngirl said. Knock on a few doors, check the shelters (all of em) and put up signs with a pic.
