rot gut is cheap liquor, so no, i dont know what you're talking about, but i'd assume you mean just the typical stomach upset caused by eating mushrooms.

part of the feeling is an unsettling phenomenon caused by the onset of almost any psychedelic, and cannot be avoided. part of it, for many people, is the result of their digestive tracts having a tough time digesting the mushrooms. this is the biggest cause for many people, and many, such as myself, find that it is almost entirely eliminated by simply not EATING the mushrooms.

i almost ALWAYS make mushroom tea. i have never eaten mushrooms and not thrown up as far as i remember, but i nearly never puke on mushroom tea.

I've never experienced this type of thing. Of course, most of my shroom experiences have been with chocolates. I wonder if the "gut rot" feeling has anything to do with the contents of your stomach at the time of ingestion. I never eat ANY food prior to shroomin, which could account for the fact that I've never experienced "gut rot" for myself.
