Ya know im not anti vegetarian or anything, but, what about all the creatures that are killed in the cultivating of vegetables. Plants arnt exactly dead either, sure they're not cute with puppy faces and all, but in a way they are still alive. They may not be able to have feelings but they're still alive. They die also in the cultivating, because alot of insects are considered pests. Insects are also alive too.

On the otherhand if you grow your own stuff, you can minimize the killing of creatures in the harvesting of your food. But tractors kill things, its still cruel. You run over the darndest things in a feild.

For a healthy lifestyle, I understand. One of my best friends is a vegitarian. A long time ago I asked him why he doesn't eat meat, he replied, "thats how I was raised."

Then theres the point where you might say, Humans were not made to be carnivores. Your right they wern't, then, they evolved canines. To tear meat during times where plants cant grow. (ice age)

Heathy lifestyle is a good approach, but unless you grow your own stuff, supporting the manufacturers that blindly kill smaller animals, kinda kills your point.

Ya know im not anti vegetarian or anything, but, what about all the creatures that are killed in the cultivating of vegetables. What about the ants killed by us walking... maybe I should be anti-pedestrian. Plants arnt exactly dead either, sure they're not cute with puppy faces and all, but in a way they are still alive. Isn't everything... They may not be able to have feelings but they're still alive. They have feelings... they just don't have vocal chords. They die also in the cultivating, because alot of insects are considered pests. Insects are also alive too. And that's why I try as much as possible not to ever kill them... even spiders... I slacked off on them although the scare the living shit out of me.

On the otherhand if you grow your own stuff, you can minimize the killing of creatures in the harvesting of your food. But tractors kill things, its still cruel. You run over the darndest things in a feild. Yep.. and I've ran over a few snakes with tractors while tending to fields on our old farm place and with lawn mowers as well... I've also run over my share of broom weeds and daffodils... I think I'll go break down and cry...

For a healthy lifestyle, I understand. One of my best friends is a vegitarian. A long time ago I asked him why he doesn't eat meat, he replied, "thats how I was raised." Many eat meat because that's how they were raised.

Then theres the point where you might say, Humans were not made to be carnivores. Your right they wern't, then, they evolved canines. To tear meat during times where plants cant grow. (ice age) If humans were meant to eat meat... please direct yourself to the nearest body of water with fish and go swimming for me and catch a bluegill or a croaker or whatever that is in the body of water, with your canines.

Heathy lifestyle is a good approach, but unless you grow your own stuff, supporting the manufacturers that blindly kill smaller animals, kinda kills your point. I do both... but I think it's a little better to do it indirectly. As the saying goes... shit happens.

Just let the man have his meat. My fiancee is attempting to get me to go vegetarian and I won't and it pisses me off cause she keeps trying.

Um...he would be dude. What's wrong with subtle hints or anything? If he's not going to change he's not going to, no matter what she does. If he's got even an inkling of wanting to try it though, that would be what she needs to appeal to. It's not making him do a damn thing. Unless he's pussy-whipped or something  . What do you think I was suggesting up there? Subliminal messages or some shit? noooo, talking about it every now and then, without saying things like "oh honey I wish you'd stop eating meat like me". Thing is, if he doesn't want to hear it, I'm sure that conversation would be over REAL quick...and then that's that. Man...you really distrust women huh? We don't have some weird control over men to make them change. They do that on their own if they don't have the will to tell a woman who tries to change them to get over it or get going. I know. An ex tried with me. It almost worked but he screwed up later and now he's gone and I learned how to get my will to be myself back. I actually said she shouldn't do anything in case you missed the rest. But that if she just HAD to, she should try to pique an interest that hey MAY have in him about being a vegetarian. Like I said, if it's not there anyway, it's not gonna work, and the conversation will be over with quickly. Bad? no. Coniving? Maybe to a paranoid freak.
