hey everyone i got a question. Yesterday, a friend of mine and i were smoking in my room and i had taken the first hit and passed it to him. i have a double chamber bong and he was smoking his first hit when in the middle of it he started coughing and passed it to me and then immediately passed out. he got up a couple of minutes later and he says he remembers seeing alot of bad events and horrible things, and some other stuff i dont really remember. someone told me this is an ego death but im not really sure what one is exactly or how they happen but thats not the real important part. he was really affected by what he saw and hes feeling numb from the experience. hes normally a really nice peaceful person but now hes as far as i can tell just depressed. can anyone give me any advice on what to tell him or anything else that i can do to help him. ty for any help

damn sounds like he had a rough childhood as did i when i would remember shit that should really never happen to anyone and just feel really depressed...i am not really emotional i know what happens and dont really get stressed or depressed about my childhood because shit happens and life goes on....mabye get him drunk and out to parties and show him some fun for a while and he should be happier around you and other people but on the inside you cant really fix what happens...it's life

Try talking to him about it, friendship is better than going out and getting him drunk. These things he saw, were they from his past or more like "fantasies"? Like, did they really happen?

Anyways, in the end, he'll need someone to talk to (or not, most guys aren't talkers about shit like this)...better you than some fucked up psychologist who will probably just give him drugs, or otherwise will support him in his role as the victim, perpetuating the problem.

i just asked him and his answer for what he saw was "massacres, torture, suffering, death, hatred, so so much death." he was shaking and crying afterwards but i hadnt remembered that when i was posting earlier. what am i supposed to tell him when we both know that those things do happen in real life

it wasnt really from his past from what hes saying but hes really sensitive to the problems of the world and things like that. hes been smoking since march a decent amount since we usually smoke together and i smoke alot. hes done things like shrooms, dxm, and salvia too so hes not new to mind altering events
