    Hmmm, I haven't had a hair cut since 1984, so I don't think I am a lot of help.

There are magazines that have all kinds of hair in them. Go to a cheap place, because, AFAIK, the "salons" just do what they want. The cute little Hispanic girl at the discount haircut place will do whatever you want, and do as good job as the weirdos at salons.

Try looking at a famous person whos hair you love and try it. try finding a picture of it and take it to the salon.i cut my own hair. ive got my hair short and spiky in the back with really short bangs(so cute :)) or try going to the store and picking up a short hairstyle guide from the magazine rack. it'll run anywhere from 2.95 to 4.95 depending on where you live :) happy cutting sis :)

    lol I actually did that...

but the main reason I wanna do this is because we both wanted haircuts that were low low mentenance...I want something I can wash, towel dry, maybe a little bit of gel and be done with it....so I'm thinking its gonna have to cut about a foot off...kinda nervous but anywyas Skye Agreed to cut it for me since he has always cut his own hair..once I find a picture anyone got any tips for him?

If you naturally dread your hair, all you do is stop brushing it or conditioning it.

So therefore, dreads can be the most low-maintenance hairdo ever.

I have had so many pixie cuts. I have one right now. :D Mia Farrow had the best if you ask me.

Mine kinda looks like hers right now. I shaved my head a while ago and I'm letting it grow out now.

    Go with Mia Farrow.

    Are you kidding?
    LOL

I have dreads and i wash it once or once every other week...and that's all I do...and I play with the ends when I'm bored. It's the easiest hairstyle I've ever had :)

    my only advice ----
you can always go shorter but it takes time to grow out if you don't like it

i know....im gonna consider it a little longer before i go through with it..i saw some old videos of me last year with hair down to my butt and really miss it...so its gonna be one or the other..super long or super short

Hehe...Im like that too...always deciding between extremes. I am currently growing my hair out from chopping it short....I dig the changes:)

i hate long hair so much. my daughter has the most adorable little sandy duncan pixie cut i've ever seen. women with stylish short hair always look so vibrant and confident to me. you have to have a particularly pretty face to wear short hair, or at least a face with a great deal of character...mind you, i'm buttering myself up here...lol. but i cut my hair really short to give off an impression of brightness and joyful confidence. i'm a bouncy person, my hair shows it.
