Help I'm getting arrested

How sick and fucking twisted is the entire "SyStEm ?"
BEYOND MY ABILITY TO DESCRIBE IT.

There is a new app for your android phone called "Help I'm getting arrested."
It's made in mind for the global protests that are starting to sweep the world.
Now I'm not saying this is a good idea or a bad idea.
And I'm not saying that the programmeur did NOT have good intention.
Afterall it is a free download.

But I'm point a finger at what might
not be so obvious to some people.

The makers of the android are profiting from our problems.
Google is profiting from the global meltdown. Microsoft is also making
money from the situation. Because Microsoft makes more from Android
phones than it does from their operating systems.
Not to mention a ton of others.

So if we succeed in kicking our over-lords.
Are we going to just be replacing them with google over-lords ?
Think about Google controling your life. You'll be able to find yourself
on google maps or read your entire life history on an self-updating
google social media network.

In short this is sick not because it's a bad or a good idea.
It's sick because the very elements we are fighting against are finding
ways to profit regardless of the outcome.

 

This is a great topic- and related to all that is going on with OWS going on. I'm not sure it's exactly for the news so I'm moving it to Science and Technology.

It's a very accurate take on the times we're living in- if it weren't spot on it would be deeply cynical. Everything, regardless of nature, seems to be an opportunity to make a buck to someone.

What makes the sickness so profound is that it will not raise an eyebrow with a good number of the placated sheep whose apathy will be an enormous hurdle until things get bad enough that they are forced to get off their butts. It's cold comfort to realize that it is very much in the interests of the establishment that things do not deteriorate to that level too quickly.

private information you're going with that message that says
"Help I've been arrested !"

After anyone is arrested they will forever be followed by that phone.
And forever be a "person of interest" when there is any problem and
they are in the area.

 

Those corporations are so thoughtful. Always looking out for us.

 

and here I thought owning an Android automatically made you a person of non-interest.

English is not my first language but use of it does appear to be acceptable
for most anglophones.

 

Your English is just fine. You expressed appropriate outrage at a marketing ploy- promoting an app for the Android that exploits the perceived short sightedness of the stereotypical protester and effectively would have him/her facilitating the job of keeping track of his or her movements by the ironic act of taking a piece of bait dangled by one of the big, greedy corporations presumably being protested.

Americans are often self-parodying...

 

It should be clear the reason I am a very nasty and vulgar person.
Because people are this dummy. Like a dog that shit all over the place
you need to take them and shove their nose in it to teach them.

They do not listen to anything less.

My bigest fear is reincarnation is real and I doomed to keep returning to this

yep...kinda hard to text while cuffed .. beat up ..recovering from the tazer that just made you piss your pants and/or covered in tear gas/pepper spray ...I didnt even think of that

 

your phone will be confiscated and disabled, placed in property, til you are discharged from the detention center..

 

Because my private life and my freedom depends on the masses respecting
their own.

When enough large group of stupid people start to accept or do the same
thing it becomes the "norm." Anyone that does not want to participate
now has to adapt.

Exemple :
The firm my sister works for is now asking any new job applications to
give their facebook account name or to create one so they can have
it on file.

Personally I do not care except that I want to live free. I do not want
to have to explain that I'm not a criminal or what I do in my home is
my affair not any other person.

The only reason I am angry is because it effects me.
Otherwise they can have strap-on sexe with a loaded shot-gun and I do
not care.

 

Well the app is free...But I suspect their real thinking is that they want to keep you needing your andrioid, which is made by a corporation..
