I HAVE THE WORST FUCKIN LUCK. My transmission blew today, savings gone and then some. Since I dont have credit cards (problem years ago) I am fuckin screwed.

I am trying to work some ideas out, hostels, park benches something since I cant swing the hotel now. Someplace safe to stay of course.

Friends are all tight asses, fuck them.

Sorry for cursing but I am PISSED THE HELL OFF.

Anyone with any ideas please email me asap. I have a 5 person room at the vijaya still reserved but may cxl soon if nothing pans out.

Please anyone with ideas email me at the following, I need a miracle, please help this stressed, overworked, underpaid individual who hasnt gone on a vacation for almost 4 years.

    mappollo69@yahoo.com

    Thanks in advance.

peace to all and to all a goodnight.

    Sounds unfortunate mate.

Hate to say it, but why not cut your loses and not go
if money is that tight. Failing that the only way to do
it is the Hostel route or put up a tent soemwhere.?

Camping Vliegenbos and Camping Zeeburg are lower cost alternatives.

A tent site for 1 person is just under EUR 10/night.

I worked it out, staying at the Flying pig hostel downtown, saving a bundle which helped me big time.

Let me know what to expect, never stayed at hostel. I know the dorm room set up, Ill be in a room with 4-6 persons I think.

Thanks to all for the suggestions.

Queens day here I come, thanks again.

    peace.

I hear that The Flying Pig Downtown is fantastic. The location is excellent, on Nieuwendijk close to the coffee shops and centre of town and it has an entryphone system so you can be assured that you're in complete safety.

    See Ya Soon!

yeah... flying pig dt is great; you're probably not in the mood for fun, but it can get pretty loud and wild late at night so try and have a good time! have a beer downstairs, play some pool... :D

it's pretty straightforward; they'll give you a room number and a bed and you go in, find your bed, pushing people off it, if necessary, lock your bag and stuff in the locker provided; i wouldn't leave anything valuable laying out.

    good luck man...

    :)
    peace,

I've never stayed at a hostel either.
Is it really that much cheaper than a hotel.?
For instance, I only pay €35 a night, breakfast
    included, etc, for a hotel.
How much is this Flying Pig place a night,
    out of curiosity.?

such hostels are cheaper when traveling alone. if you have a group of 3-5 i'd always go with an apartment, houseboat, or hotel in amsterdam. But for the individual, a hostel is much cheaper than paying for a single hotel room.

    Your right.
I did'nt take that into consideration.
If there's a group of you it's more of a laugh and cheaper
to get into a hostel or houseboat.
