I was looking through some old mix cds my sister made a while ago and i found this song that i really dig but i dont know who its by or what its called. It sounds a bit like Pavement, except a bit more laid back.
The first verse is something like

Christmas Twin Falls, Idaho is her oldest memory
She was only two it was the first time she felt blue
    Cafeteria Harrison Elementary
Beneath a parachute I saw her without shoes
7UP I touched her thumb and she knew it was me
Although she couldn't see unless of course she peeked

I really like this song so if you could tell me who its by and recomend some other stuff by them it would be awesome

    Its built to spill

"twin falls", off of "there is nothing wrong with love"

a excellent album by the way, you should really concider getting if you dont have it now. Acouple other really great albums by them are "perfect from now on" and "keep it like a secret". I like all their albums though, but i would start with thoughs first.

well it was also on ben folds five's naked baby photos. so she could have had either version.
