You can help to save the british bumble bee by allowing it to nest in your garden. They really arent a danger like wasps are and infact take great precautions against stinging people because once they sting something they die.

Bees are absolutely vital to the british ecology and the loss of these species will hav an enormous impact on our environment

Anyway heres the full stor on the bumble bee and following that, a link to exactly what you can do to help including designing nest sites for them

Please find out more about this for yourself apparently scientists are really worried about the impact this will have on the environment so please do your best to help

i was reading a story about how it might be cell phone usage and their transmission towers that are cause mass hive extinctions everywhere. freaky, eh? all sorts of bees. i've only seen one bumblebee in a couple years now. it makes me sad. it's the only buzzing insect that doesn't send me screaming for the bug spray.

well, i'm in the rocky mountains of colorado. maybe it's an altitude thing. but i used to see them all the time, now i don't see any. though, for honeybees, my neighbors blossoming trees are covered in them.

really? maybe it is a altitude thing, did you read those links though as scientists are worried that the crops may fail catastrophically without those bees

Bees are dwindling. Maybe if people set up a few bee hives, that may encourage more.

Not really. The Welsh Vallies are a very rural area. We have plenty of grass and foliage which probably makes a nice place for Bee's to stay. But I'm not too sure. All I know is that Wales has plenty of the buggers.:)
