Just two things: *Spend money and get a decent harness - one that is both secure on the top and holds the penetrating dildo in place. *The dildo? Again spend money and buy a variety - don't go cheap. Also, buy dildos that will be comfortable for both parties to handle. Be sensible about size. "Whoppers" might look good on porn, but the aim of strap-on sex, the same as any sex is to give pleasure ......... not to have a competition in eye-watering!
go with the tomboi. its an underwear type harness that works just as well as the other kinds, but is easier to wear and use. go to a sex shop and get sized for it. actually, I recommend getting cheap dildos at first, bc u may be surprised at what u think ur body will like, and what actually ends up being a good match

Try the rodeo. Best one I've ever had And ive had 7 different kinds. Its like boyshorts underwear and you can use any dong with a base. Stay away from that one that inserts inside you while you penetrate your gf, worst sex toy ever.
Try the Joque harness. Kinda like a jock strap, it's really durable and looks sexy on. It will hold any size dildo in securely. We do a lot of strap on play and this is our fourth and favorite harness. It is also the only harness we bought that didn't need to be modified to fit our larger dildo. I am a size queen. The other posters are right about trying different sizes. Go cheap until you know what you like and then buy a good quality silicone dildo that will last for years. The cheap ones have so many toxic chemicals that have perfect access into your body through your lady bits (and backdoor bits if you like that). I don't have much experience with good ones, but I can tell you that the type that look sort of like a "thong" or whatever you'd call it don't work well at all...they don't stay in place and that becomes a real distraction. You want one that a will stay on you so that you can focus on the good parts of the fun (which I did not get to do...)
