Hello, I'm Irene. I join today to explore the lesbian world. I want to know how is to be lesbian and to figure out if I am. I never had a personal experience with a girl but I haven't the happiest expierence with boys. I admired and like girls before but I was too shy to realized it and when I became obsessed (not the sick way, as you fall in love with someone and you love to spent time together) I looked my sister's eyes (she is also my best friend) and this force me to think of her as a friend. My family always controled my life and I can't stop them so I decided a month ago to leave my country but as usual they stopped me. I'm real afraid of them. They are all sooo religious. How is to be a lesbian? Can you hold your partners hand or kiss outside the house? Can you go for a romantic dinner together? Is it easy? The people arround always react in this view or they took it normal as you was straight? My opinion about this is: I think we all hide a little lesbian/gay inside us. But some are so afraid to recognise it. From the moment we born we have 1% of gay and 1% of straight. They grew together but in an age that you are old enough to recognise what you want, what you like and what would make you happy develops the one of them. If you're confused develeped both of them. So, part of me hope to be 100% straight so I was as all the people around me and haven't so many problems to deal but part of me knows that maybe this is impossible. Correct me if I'm wrong. Don't bother to correct my vocabulary although haha
That is so from the heart. I can't speak for anywhere else but here in Australia lesbian people can freely express their love and show it in public too. The only thing is that here same sex marriages are not legal and I think thats unfair. I hope you find your way in the world. Good luck.
Hey! I'm pretty sure that one more person wrote here yesterday and I replied. Thank you so much TheOrchardist! Yes but over the years we succesfull gained to have the freedom of so many things we hadn't then. I think one day we will have it that too. It's matter of time.
