I'm not entirely sure if this is the correct place to post this, but here goes... Hello! I recently moved to the UK (Leeds, specifically) to attend school for a semester. Is there anyone in the area? More than that, if anyone knows of anything that I should definitely see while I'm over here (I'll be here until the tail end of May) I'd appreciate any suggestions! Thanks!
Hi Yoseff, welcome to the UK! When I saw this title I immediately thought of :leaving: But anyway, Leeds is supposed to be quite a thriving city now, with plenty of night life. I'd get to know a few locals and get them to show you around a bit. Manchester isn't too far, and there's plenty going on there. Also York is just down the road, a very historic city with a beautiful Minster (church), good pubs and the Yorvik Viking Centre. You can also walk around the city walls. The Yorkshire Dales are a great place to go out walking if you like that as well. Have a great time man!
Hmm, if I remember correctly, there's a fast(ish) train from Leeds to London, so I'd reccomend taking that and going to see all that London has to offer
i live up the road in north yorkshire. like JT said, yorkshire moors are beautiful and york is a beautiful city. ive only been to leeds once but i wasnt that taken with it. if you get the chance go to devon (greatest place on earth) and scotland. beautiful places.
Welcome to Britain man, I would suggest hitting the Welsh or Scottish mountians.....Cohed y brenin or one the 7stanes mountain ranges in Scottland.....hire a nice full suspension bike for around £20 and rip around some beautiful scenery all day. A cheap but exhilerating day out. Alton towers theme park is quite cool, go on a school day! I'd recommend one our summer music festivals but they don't start until June. Check out the GO APE climbing crcuits as well, they can be much fun if there's a few of you. http://www.7stanes.gov.uk/ http://www.mbwales.com/en/content/cms/Centres/Coed_y_Brenin/Coed_y_Brenin.aspx http://www.altontowers.com/pages/home http://www.goape.co.uk/
