Hi,

My name is Beccy, I play mandolin in nervosa, a progressive folk rock band, or "shifty folk" as we like to call it, from Cornwall.

I love music, Pink Floyd, Muse, Radiohead, The Who, The Doors, The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Ralph McTell... the list could go on and on...

Not sure what else to write... but hello!

Hello Beccy!
Progressive rock and folk rock are both fantastic! More bands should play it nowadays. The mandolin is a really cool instrument. I was going to teach myself but our mandolin is tuned to the bottom four strings of a guitar so when I tried to play a few chords from my book it sounded awful!

Tune it to GDAE, like a violin. I'm self taught, there are some wonderful mandolin resources on the net, and you can always use violin music for melodies
