The dull...I'm guessing you mean the dole/jobseekers allowance (JSA). I wouldn't admit you want to come to our country just to milk money from our taxpayers.
You can come over on a work visa, these usually last a year, but I don't think you will be eligible for JSA. Here's the UK Immigration website for further information regarding citizenship etc http://www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk/lawandpolicy/immigrationrules/

and here's the JSA eligibility information: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTa...AndOtherSupport/GettingBackToWork/DG_10014402

It is only paper work Ms nay - just a bit of paper.
You can become a ''cat lady'' after a few years of living with the guy - being under constant scrutiny - generaly having a fairly unpleasant time.
Heck you may even fall in love with the guy. :)

You are amazing Ms nay - you managed to turn a straight guy - homosexual.
Your skills are wasted becoming a ''cat lady''.

:sunny: I dunno, I think I'd make a wicked cat lady. I have lost all hope when it comes to men. I'm happy using my skills to benefit others! :)

Why do you want to move to the UK, and when exactly? You're 17, for 'ell's sake.

First of all, we get new immigrants every second of every hour of every day. The immigration control deal with new applicants all the time and naturally their workload is full. You should consider, what you could offer in work trade that we desperately need. Although this isn't a formality like it is in Australian citizenship cases. But it helps.

Now you will probably come in by ship(Unlikely) The first thing you might see, is the Isle of Wight and/or that crazy tower in Portsmouth. Or you might see the White cliffs of Dover or The Liver buildings if you come in to Liverpool. It is more likely that the first thing you will see, is the urban sprawl of London and various buildings at heathrow airport.

In this country, we deal in Stirling, not Euros. There is 100 pennies to the pound and we have one penny and two penny and five and ten, twenty and five pence pieces. We have 1 pound coins and a new two pound coin. Information like this will be essential.

London is rather expensive for hotel accomadation. Suggest you use www.yha.co.uk Membership required but you pay less for a room per night. The dole, not the dull is known as JSA or Jobseekers allowance. If you get citizenship, and have accomadation. Go straight to the jobcentre, make a claim. Wait two to three weeks and you will hopefully be awarded JSA. Okey, now getting a job in this country is difficult, but is possible if you have skills.

Good luck with your citizenship attempt. If you don't get into England. You always have New England.

Additional: london is very expensive. Try and find accomadation in the suburbs like Lewisham, Newham or Stratford. Avoid places like Brixton(It is the UK equivalent to Los Angeles but much worse), Peckham, undignified squaller. Southwark, Livable, Clapham Junction. Too much crime, too much shit) It is best to get advice from the indiginous people of this country. The more friends you make, the stronger you will become. Going to any new country to live in, is an alienating experience. As you speak English, language won't be a barrier as in England, We speak English. There are different dialects and accents in parts of the UK. Welsh is rarely spoken but mostly in the North of Wales. Gailec is largely spoken in Ireland and Scotland. We use the Pal system. Not NTSC. Allthough we now have region free dvd players and VHS systems which are compatible with both. Incidentally, being on the Dole is rather "dull". :)

Nah. You mean Deal. Not far from Sandwich in Kent. Not having a laugh, there really is a place called Sandwich. There are windmills. I think it had something to do with the Earl of Sandwich or something related to windmills. www.uk.co.uk
