hello people I'm Avi n im new

hey so i guess this is about me so im blond n blue eyed altho my eyes seem to change whith the sky n weather, i like my music n friends..being outside. i love the rain n dancing in it..i like eating weird foods everone thinks im crazy for eating..i like my music...other silly things.i love art.n poetry n learning about the 60's n 70's n trying new things i love my guitar n skateboard, n i like hemp.n travelling..n simply being me...n seing the beauitful wonders that are out there

 

Well, Well, Well, What have we here, another youngin’? Hello to you Avi, you Hippie_Chick_27. Why not 26 or for that matter 28? I’m blond and blue eyed also and my eyes change with the of the color sky, the weather or for that matter with what ever mood I’m in at the time or even when I wear a blue shirt. Music has been my life and has given me the insight and stability to be the person I am today; although some would disagree, but that’s another story, we just don’t have the time to go into that in this thread. Why don’t we all take our cloths off and do a rain dance? Oh, wow what a wonderful time it is dancing in the the rain. I also play guitar and sing as well, isn’t poetry and life’s experiences what we put into our songs. If not we might just as well hang it up and skip rope or something. Please, be careful out there; times have changed from when I became aware of life’s beauties and pleasures. I know I sound like your parents, that’s probably because I am old enough to be your grand-parent. I’ve got to get off my soap-box and let things continue in their natural flow.
Let me extend the welcome mat. I recently found "The Hip Forums" myself and I know what it’s like to be a newcomer. You don’t really know what to say or how to act. Read some of the threads so you can get the gist of what topics are being discussed. When you feel comfortable jump right in and get your feet wet. Nobody here is going to "Flame" you, that just isn’t tolerated here (unless it’s necessary) lol. We get some assholes here who just want to stir up bad vibes... From what I’ve found so far is that we are one big family with many brothers and sisters. thank you for the welcome, do hippies ever protest now a days or fight the system or is it all over n they just let be now? seems people have let go n stopped fighting sad cause i dont really want to except that the goverment has control over everything, its just not right yet im only one person i cant really stop it. Although it seems to me everyones to scared to. were you ever in any protests? did you win?

On Being A Hippie

First let me clear up a few misconceptions about what a Hippie is. Long hair does not make a Hippie. Clothes don't make a Hippie and the use of drugs definitely doesn't make you a Hippie. Being a Hippie had nothing to do with being rebellious. Native Americans would say it's "Tafunka" (a way of life). It's a matter of respect. Respect for others and their rights to be who they are. Respect for the Earth and all that dwell on it. Mostly it's a respect for yourself. Allowing yourself to be who you are. Search the inner you, deep inside your heart, the answers are there if you just listen. You just might be suprised what you might find. Two paths diverge in a woods, I take the path less traveled and that made all the difference, it's up to you to chose. Peace, DDR

 

i did a lot of demos before you was born , ....i think that the wealthy and powerfull wont give an inch . i dont think valuable people such as yourself were born to have their heads busted by riot cops . i think the presant world order will completely disolve on its own in another 10 years . and that surviving an ungoverned future is the skills to be honeing now ....know the beast but dont get eaten by it cause its soon to die and alternative modeles of volentary decentralized cooperative little grouplets could replace nation states

 

i dont get it. if no one stand up to the goverment or soceity it will desolve itself? i think being a hippie isnt about going agianst society its like you said n also its not about the description people or soceity gives it , its who you are. but how does one find themself?
