Hi, I have recently taken an interest in meditation due to alot of anxiety and stress related problems I was having. I have been browsing the forum and there seems to be a good body of knowledge here, so I thought I would participate and share how things are going for me. I do not have an instructor, I have simply been trying to sit comfortably, breathe deeply and relax, and I have noticed a significant positive change in my mood throughout the day. I have read 'The Power of Now' by Eckhart Tolle and I thought it was very interesting. I have problems keeping my mind clear for any length of time, I am hoping with more practice that will improve. All in all though I am a newfound believer in meditation, and I think its great there are forums like this around.
Good, enjoy! When your mind ''cleans'' itself from all the stress of the day, that is when you see the thoughts appear. It's the first step. Do not skip ahead of it. Having problems keeping your mind ''clear'' is not a problem. You are witnessing the Solution.
