Ocean Forest by Foxfarm is the best soil I know of. Many potting soils can be used if some additions are made. Different soils work better than others and I often recommend heavier type soils but not the cheap dirt kind. Peat based soils work well because they are naturally acidic but they can promote some kinds of molds. Soils that use bark mulches are good if you add a cup of bone meal and a cup of blood meal per medium sized bag. You might also add 15% perlite by volume if the soil seems to retain water too much. Perlite lightens a mix and allows drainage and aeration to the roots. Experiment with what you have available.

Online grow shops deliver anything you want and the stuff isn't illegal so it really isn't that dangerous to order many items often not found locally. Soil is pretty heavy to order however so I suggest you take the trip to the grow store and get a bunch at one time. :)

Download a good book? ;) Now wouldn't it be better to just order a book to have and hold? Jorge Cervantes book is probably a good place to look. I don't think my book has that many pest or deficiency pictures but it does show what bud mold starting looks like. Lots of good info in Bonanza of Green too! :) BOG

Keep them under 150 kb.. You can adjust your camera settings or resize pics using a graphic program like paint. BOG
