Hello everyone, I just found an article here about how to start a commune. Too bad it's ancient history being circa 2002. So much has happened since then. Anyways, I thought I'd come over to the forums to see if I could stir up any talk on the subject. I have some awesome ideas I'd like to share. I NEED to do something like this! I don't know what everyone else sees when they look into the future but to me it looks dreary. Everyone around me is stuck in their mind concerned with their bills or their job or rent. I run into way too many of those futile memes, "...death and taxes" "lesser of two evils" I'm positive everyone else does too. To me it looks like symptoms of some behavioral disorder afflicting this country but I can't seem to break the spell! Why can't the people shake their fear Old Hippies?! It's driving me absolutely nuts!
Hello and welcome! The intro forum is intended just for intro's. This would make a great post in the commune forum. Keep in mind that the failure rate for new communes is about 90%
Which Commune are you talking about? some of the ones in Colorado are really weird lol The Yellow Deli in Boulder is the weirdest place in the world imo
I apologize master newbie-one, I'll lob a post that way. Sleepy-Cat to be honest I'm not too versed on current communes. I did just look that one up to see what it was based on. I do really want people to lay off the competitive materialistic wage-making lifestyle and use their creativity to support themselves and their family, friends and neighbors with the excess. I know some might call that a commune so I try to read about those things so I can see what motivates these people. I'll post something in the commune section.
