It could be a lower quality MDMA. Looks to me like maybe it has not had an acetone wash if it is MDMA. This would mean it has some left over chemicals from the making of the MDMA. So it is "lower quality" just because it could be cleaner but it could still get you high. The bitter taste is a good sign but the only way to be sure is a test kit. I had low quality the other night and was totally disappointed, it really only last a few hours and I needed weed to get any of the effect. Grr.
Never seen MDMA look like that, test it with your testing kit. MDMA will test purple/black on a Marquis testing kit but pretty much all the MDMA I've had has been white, off white, or light brownish.
If it is dirty enough it is hard to get an accurate dose. For example in 100mg allot of that 100 could be something other then MDMA. It can be pretty dark without any acetone wash. Most of the colored stuff you see has had some acetone just not enough to be Shulgin lab standard clean. I would be careful with OP's stuff. Almost seems too dirty if it is in fact MDMA. What the acetone removes causes cancer so in a large enough dose over time who knows.
it does look really dark, i thought it was just the lighting and with stronger lighting it may appear lighter. it does still look like molly tho it also seems to have kindof a greenish hue to it not sure it thats just the lighting or what but ive never seen any molly with a greenish hue, usually its an off white, kinda yellowish tint not fuckin green it also looks like it could pass for heroin
