i think this is in the right place, if not, will someone shift it =] basically im on a healthy eating kick - more fruit & veg, more water, less crap im wondering if theres any truth behind the 'eat well, get better skin' idea? cause my skin is cerrrr-apppp at the moment, getting frequent breakouts on my face and my skin is quite oily (not sure if this is because of my moisturising cream though..) i dont wanna become a super health freak type, i just wanna improve my body, clean it out a bit, give it a break from the rubbish ive been shovelling in
diet does affect skin. you notice your skin looking healthier after about 2 weeks or so. but you'll still get break outs, i assume your a teen like me. teen = hormone flucuations = breakouts also wash your face at least twice a day.
im twennnyy, but i think ive still got teen skin =/ i currently use an exfoliating face wash.. is that too much for twice a day?
I find that since I stopped wearing makeup my skin looks freakin' great. I rarely get pimples anymore. You may not want to go to that extreme though.
i dont wear makeup anyway =D well.. i dont wear coverup, foundation, concealer etc. if i do wear makeup, its only ever eyeliner or eyeshadow, and thats once every 4 months or something stupid like that. ive found that since ive had to wear glasses, i dont bother with eye makeup anymore
Water is also suppose 2 be good for your skin Though thats all i drink, and my face still breaks out occasionally, i guess it could be worse
i know smoking not good for your skin, i dont know bout breakouts i dont get that but i know its not good for my skin...i do eat damn healthy though
Meat and dairy are bad for your skin. When I went vegetarian, I noticed a huuuuge difference in my complexion. I rarely get pimples nowadays. Also, I've heard soda is bad for your skin. I've been trying to cut that out, but it's hard.
What do you use to wash your face? There are a lot of all natural cleansers and what not out there that are pretty awesome for your skin. And believe it or not, so does moisturizing. I used a moisturizer that I swear to this day was responsible for clearing up my skin. They quit making it a couple years ago though and I'm still looking for something just as good. Just make sure you're not putting a bunch of stuff on your face that shouldn't go on your face. I'm horrible, I fake bake and I put tanning lotion on my face. Its responsible for the breakouts I have now.
