I need to make the trip. Anyone know of any good places? Im planning on going to St. Marks and maybe Union Square but I was wondering if anyone knew of any specifics places/areas.. in particular im looking for a vaporizer but any place that sells pieces will be aight. thanks =]
Canal street if that sounds familiar, im not sure if thats the right name but this entire street i went to on some church thing was loaded with pipes,hookahs,bongs, and im pretty sure you could find a vapo.
yeah, around canal street, Soho, and china town you'll find a bunch of glass in small stores and street corners. if you find a street vendor, i guarantee you can talk the price down, probable even to half price.
canal street is good... check out a store at 120 Spring Street near there, it's called "evolution"... not a headshop but it's probaby the coolest store i have ever been in. bought a piece of dinosaur eggshell, 100 000 000 years old, and a piece of meteorite, which hit earth 4.5 BILLION years ago. i keep them nearby to remind me how small i am .
i dont think so. you can get an 1" x 1" peice of dinosaure eggshell for about $2-$10 depending on condition, shape, and type. this type of thing is used for fossil collections, and jewlery making.
Sounds weird to me too. But then again, I have a fossilized mammoth ivory bracelet. My dad got it when he went to alaska.
haha i wouldnt buy from ANY of the headshops in nyc they are all over priced sure you can talk them down a little but any street vendor sells better, sturdier pieces for a fraction of the price, a nice glass bong at a store was 50$ my friend boughti t for 35$ and a street vendor had the same exact one for 25$ probably coulda got it for less but that shows you how its overpriced. If you want a vaporizer, ebay is your best friend, volcanos have a price lock so they cant be sold for less that 539 but at leats on ebay they give you tons of extra shit and free next day shipping. dont ever go to a head shop
Just walk around the village for a while, lots of street vendors and headshops...bound to find something.

The only real Headshop left in NYC I know of, is on West 8th Street near 6th Avenue. It is the only one to survive the Anti-crack crackdown of 1986.
lol the store certainly seemed legit, i mean it was just an ordinary business on an ordinary street. but lots of the stuff they had in there must be illegal or fake, because they had some CRAZY shit. check out that store if you're ever in NY, it's fuckin sweet... the dinosaur egg shell piece cost like 7 or 8 bucks, and the meteorite about the same, i think. give or take a few bucks. not too expensive at all.
