yup one of my all time favourite bands been to see them shit loads and going to see them at roadburn (stoner/space rock) festival in holland in april anyone going? In search of space is my fav (at the moment)
Yes, I'm going as well. Last year at Roadburn I saw Hawkwind as Space ritual, I had a great time but I don't remember many details. I love this band, but I don't consider them progressive rock though.
maybe not dude "but to me their more than average rockers "theirs that phycedelic fucken yeah man "with their tunes . like hawkwind are original " labels"who gives a fuck about labels dude .
It's not that I care so much about the label but you might 've gotten more replies if you posted this in the psychedelic section. Also I thought there already was a hawkwind topic there, but since I can't find it I might be wrong about that.
This is one totally awesome group, man! www.starcopywriter.com www.ironghost.wordpress.com Hey, flippy flap to all of you!
Here a super video of Hawkwind with "Silver Machine" https://www.youtube.com/w/Silver-Machine?v=fi0aOKELEW8&feature=PlayList&p=329ED6B1D3B37502&index=14
Lost am I in this world of timelessness and woe Can I find the doorway through which I must go? Is the key to this place too much for me to try again? Is the passport to this world my astral soul?
Saw Space Ritual about a year ago, one of the best shows I've been too. I shook Nik Turners hand! Whoooooooooo! Amazing band, I prefer their early Space Rock stuff, only heard bits and pieces of their electonic music, which isn't my cup of tea. If Space Ritual are in a town near you, I recommend you go see them!
good gig man ?....... bought a cd when went to gig in nov 95 " not sure if its sold in the shops " just wonderin if any oneelse has it ? . ....HAWKWIND -SEASONS GREETINGS FROM DEEP SPACE (4 tracks ) 1 = christmas treat 2= angela android 3 =the secret knowledge of water 4= ritual breathing .
Yeah, great sound and a great spaceshow. I didn't saw the half of it because I also wanted to check Orange Goblin out, wich played at the same time. Orange Goblin did a superb gig as well, my favourite of the day I guess. I did manage to see almost an hour of Hawkwind, and however they were fucking great again, I think I enjoyed Space Ritual a year ago even more. I heard more cool songs then and the spaceshow was even weirder. But nevertheless their sound and show are still very good!
