So I'm hoping someone can give me an interpretation for this one, because I'm at a loss. So I've been having this wierd dream where I'm standing in front of a small city that's completely on fire. And I stand in watch it burn for an unknown amount of time. Then I look down and there's a little girl standing there holding my hand. She looks up at me and says "It's all gone, isn't it?" and I say "Yes. It is." and she says "But they're still here." That's when I notice we're standing in front of a chruch. And out of the church, these three very tall men come rushing towards both of us. The girl runs, leaving me standing there. The men look human, but are burned and very scarred and are all spewing smoke and soot from their mouths and noses. They then start babbling in three different languages that all seem to merge into one. I feel like I should be able to understand them all, but I don't. I seem to kind of sink to my knees and cover my eyes, and they all stop. But when I open my eyes, I'm in kind of a burned out version of my house. I can't usually see much, but it's always dark and raining. Off in the distance, I can hear a train whistle blowing. I call out for someone in my house, but there's never any answer. When I open my bathroom, there's a skinned and gutted body hanging from a gibbet (http://www.ushistory.org/oddities/gibbet.htm) with his/her organs hanging out. It's a violent, and bloody mess. After seeing that, I usually run outside. I'm barefoot (as in real life) and the ground feels so cold. But the air feels hot and is full of rain and ash. It clings to my clothes and my skin. I run towards to the source of the train whistle, which looks to be a burned out train on the tracks near my house (they're there in real life too.) And I go in. I start opening doors and just looking for any life. But all I can see is burned bodies and luggage. Then it gets really wierd. It's almost as if I'm looking for something that I'm not really sure of. And I keep thinking to myself "It's just beyond this door. Just passed this one." I never make it very far into the train. I always wake up soon after that last part.

I really can't decipher this one. I usually can, so this is wierd. I've tried a drea, dictionary, but there's only so far that can get you.

Hi crispy91, here is a thought.

Try and work with the dream - go back in it and feel it, and hold the tension. Make drawings (if this is your preferred medium), or daydream about it, or dance it, or just play with it - or even try to get lucid in case there is a next time. Maybe you are but a catalyst here, helping to solve kinda energy knot by dreaming with it; out of a deeper intent, seeking to reach beyond the illusion of both dreaming and waking life.

Imagine that the people in your dream - those who show and those who don't - are all healing now, and not stuck on their passage any more. Honour your self and the dreams.

Ok so this is not an interpretation but nevertheless I hope it makes a bit sense. And thank you for sharing.

Thank you for your words of wisdom. Unfortunately, it's only gotten stranger. It has separated into two different dreams. Well one is a dream. In it, I'm in an abandoned mansion. I walk upstairs to find the spirit of a large, older woman coming towards me. She calls my name. For some reason she terrifies me. So I run. But something keeps holding me back. So when i get the courage back up, I go to confront her. But she isnt there. There's a young woman in a victorian gown waiting for me. She calls me Timothy in a British accent. Then, she asks "shall we retire?" And lays on the bed, entirely naked. I always notice there's a big, bloody hole in her back. I'm not sure why, but i feel like I know her. Then i wake up.

The other occurance happens when I astral project. I end up in a house at night in a prairie. Its a really tiny house. Almost a shack. For some reason the house itself feels sad.... and lonely. I hear a train outside. When i leave the train is sitting at a platform. I board. Theres no one inside. Then, i start moving. It stops at a burned town. I don't recognize it. No one is there. The only audible sound is a hydraulic hammer press from a factory nearby.

It becomes easier when you break it into symbols/ideas.

"I'm standing in front of a small city that's completely on fire. And I stand in watch it burn for an unknown amount of time."

Your witnessing destruction of some sort. You don't know what to do, so you just watch it. -Thats what I get from it. It could be that you know a group of people that are not doing so good (physically, emotionally or otherwise), and you are unable to help them or don't know what to do.

"Then I look down and there's a little girl standing there holding my hand.
She looks up at me and says "It's all gone, isn't it?" and I say "Yes. It is." and she says "But they're still here."

You accept that this is happening. You want someone to understand how you feel about it possibly.

"That's when I notice we're standing in front of a chruch. "

This further adds to the idea of destruction. Although the symbolic meaning of three tall men, speaking three different languages which merge into one, is interesting.

It could be that they are all different in some way, but that you can understand their pain.

"But when I open my eyes, I'm in kind of a burned out version of my house. I can't usually see much, but it's always dark and raining. Off in the distance, I can hear a train whistle blowing. I call out for someone in my house, but there's never any answer. When I open my bathroom, there's a skinned and gutted body hanging from a gibbet with his/her organs hanging out. The symbolism of dead bodies and the horror, could repressent that you are feeling lonely, scared, maybe even depressed. The train repressents an escape in my opinion. You are looking to escape from this torture.

This is what I think your dreams mean, it may not repressent your actual situation. Please take it as an opinion only. :)

Dreams hold the answers to your feelings and thoughts. They tell you where you are in life, and where you want to go with it.

If you are dreaming of girls in bed, maybe you want some company or want to have some fun.

In my opinion, -go partner dancing. Ballroom / Ceroc / Modern Jive / whatever. You don't need a partner to go. So just check it out. It's a lot of fun, and lots of nice people there. :)

For many years, I was plagued by terrible nightmares.
some said PDSTS, was so bad that I was afraid to go to bed at night.
Found a healer lady in MI a few years ago, she helped lots, now I can sleep.

I did try to abriviate Post Traumatic Stress Syndrom but made a tip-o.

    How did she help?
The lady did a few lenghty taped intervies, made notes, then analized it and called me back after a week or so and gave me a few small doses of some kind of homyopathic (?spelling) medicine that I had to take over one week or so.
After the first few doses, the nightmares slowed down and in a forthnight where gone.
    All cost me maybe $175.

in chinese medicine, excessive dreaming can be a sign of what is called a "shen" disturbance. maybe see an acupuncturist or chinese herbalist

imho, messing with astral projection sounds like a bad idea unless you are feeling really stable and well grounded

maybe do a daily meditation practice

if you have any unresolved psychological issues, maybe see a therapist
