Im in the third week of flowering and everything has been going great untill yesterday i noticed something. Im growing hydroponically btw. The problem is in the leaves there tips are discolored. This discoloration is in top leaves as well as bottom leaves and is in most of the leaves. The tips are brownish yellow. Its just barly on the very tips. I tryed to take pics to post them but they did not come out well. Could it be a nitrogen deficiency or perhaps they are getting too much nutrients? Thanks

Im useing Flora series of nutrients

Im useing General hydroponics, Flora series- Floragro, Floramicro, and Florabloom. I change the water by pumping it out and adding new distilled water once a week. I also add nutrients in one of the gallons. Anyway for week 3 of flowering i used 15ml Florabloom/gallon, 10ml FLoramicro/gallon, and 2ml Floragro/gallon. I have approximetly 4.7 gallons in deep water culture. So i put in 70ml Florabloom, 47ml Micro, and 9.5ml of Gro. Is this too much?

This is my first time to do this its been pretty easy till this little problem. Thanks any help is appreciated.

I dunno if this is fully accurate...

You're either giving too much or too little. Is there a way you can separate one to test what would happen if you lowered the fertilizer amt?

But if it is a nutrient deficiency, which it sounds like, maybe if you check out the link I put out for greenfingers, it might help?

Try 1/2 strength fro a couple days the new leaves will show if over feeding is the prob, the damaged leaves won't get better but they won't get worse either:>)

It does sound like nutrient burn.
Go half strength for a while, see if the problem stops.
Ideally you would have access to a reliable EC meter, and would know what your target ppm should be, but since we don't live in a perfect world and you can't get your hands on the device, do the half strength.

try setting your water out for 3 days in an open container. i know you said you're using distilled water but maybe there's some chlorine in there after all. chlorine also burns the leaf tips and setting your water out will allow the chlorine to off gas.

If ya can use an air pump n stone on the water 4 24 hours b4 use that will kill off any chlorine. Bit late really but sound like nitrogen burn t me as a rule as plants bud they use less nitrogen and start t take up more phosphorus n potassium hence the burnin.
