I'm a tad bit stoned at the moment... can't remember who all I've met right now... I only remember a couple. Peter Frampton... Keller Williams.

What's your favorite music to listen to stoned? I'm watching the Cream Strange Brew DVD right now.

I've met several... Bela Fleck, and all the Flecktones... Dave Matthews and his band, Jack Johnson, Donovan Frankenriter, Rusted Root lead singer (can't remember his name right now) Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Keller Williams, John Bell... others that I can't think of right now. Last week I met the band "Blue Merle"... they're cool guys.

I don't smoke anymore, so that's null and void to me... but, I used to love smoking out and jamming old school Pink Floyd, or some Zeppelin.

The only ones I'd actually say I'd met, as in got to sit and talk with them, would be Ani DiFranco and Muggs from Cypress Hill (a total fluke meeting too, lol). If you consider them "famous" I've also met David Wilcox and Leo Kotke.

I've met a few people after gigs and stuff like... Frank Black, SikTh, Mighty Might Bosstones... except for Frank Black not really anyone interesting. But Van Morrison's guitarist did come over and show us a few riffs randomly when I was sitting on a field in cambridge.

I met Timothy Leary at a book signing in SF in 1994. I gave him a bunk sheet of steel your face blotter (I can't even remember where I got it, and no, I wasn't selling bunk lsd), which he first bit, then asked if it was for real, and then he signed it!

When I was a few years older, I met and became friends with Haile Selassie's personal secretary, confidant, and minister of religion, Abba Melchesidek. He was the first Ethiopian official to met with the Rastafarian community, including Mortimo Planno, and arranged the first Rastafarian diplomatic mission to Ethiopia in 1961, and later, the famous visit to Jamaica 1966.

Not that famous, but important to me.

    why do you say that?
I'm sure some folks think I'm blowing smoke with my "list" but 'tis true.

here are the ones that my KID has met:
    Arlo Guthrie -just a meeting
Bob Wier - twice. We are friends with Mark Karan (his lead guitarist in RD) We take Mark to dinner.
All of Yonder Mountain. Jeff A gave him a mando lesson in Austin a few years ago (pre marriage, so three-four years?)
SCI, except for the new guy. He's run with Billy's older daughter ( i keep thinking they'd be great sweeties later)
Trout Fishing in America- we hang at shows, ie sound check
Tha Muse Meant- we feed these folks.
    Sam Bush- simple meeting
JJ cale's drummer, keyboardist. Jimmy and Rocky
Both play in other bands-that's the connect
New Monsoon... the step dad hasn't told me the entire story, but it involved Red Rocks and a security guard. I'm not asking now.
JAmie Janover (Zilla, plays with Mike Travis of SCI)
Steve Kimock, Bobby Vega: stopped by our booth at a High Sierra. We have had dinner with Steve a few times.
    Jimmy La Fave (Austin sensation)
David Nelson Band. Dave was in New Riders of the Purple Sage. We went along to a primate sanctuary with the band. We also have been along for radio interviews.
and others...lots as passing by at festies or as our clients. We do backdrops and I am a reporter who occasionally gets really cool assignments.

Nobody, seeing as how I've never been to a show :(

I did get to shake hands with Bill Clinton once. :H

When I was really really young, 3 or 4, me and my dad met Roger Craig (49ers running back at the time) in the mall of america.

I've met a lot of Milwaukee Brewers players... well, they were on the team last year anyways.

    No musicians :(

I forgot, i have met and smoked with Don Carlos from Black Uhuru, and with Justin Hinds (who just passed away in March). Folks from the SF Bay Area might know Groundation, I was good friends with Harrison, their lead singer and guitarist. I always used to see Fenton, an older school roots reggae singer in Berkeley. Damn, they keep coming back to me, I met Sizzla and Mutabaruka at Rasputin Records in Berkeley sometime around '99.

    Sorry you doubt me...

Here's a picture of me with Leroi Moore of DMB. This was taken in Memphis, TN before a show they did for Memphis in May. I'd just been down on Beale Street with them.

I have met Keller, Louis Goasin, YMSB, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Jimmi's CHicken Shack, DJ Williams, and I cant even begin to recall all the metal bands I have met. Slipknot and Fear Factory are two off the top of my head!
