I used the shake and stems, the iso alcohol way. Got almost a gram out of it. But its black and does not taste good. Im cooking it on low? Im gonna start using the butane extraxtion soon.
That is closer to hash oil than it is to hash. Yes it tastes nasty sometimes. Unless you used 100% pure iso you probably have garbage from the iso in there as well, making it worse. I did that once and ended up tossing it. If you use heat, keep it well below 300 degrees or you may be destroying the cannabinoids. This may seem obvious to some, but only do the butane outdoors. Locally, a couple of gentlemen landed themselves in the hospital and nearly destroyed a house while doing butane extraction in the basement. Word to the wise, etc. If you really want hash, get a sieve-style tumbler and use it. You will need lots of green, but if you are growing you can use the trim.
