Im very curious about this substance from just knowing about its insansely intoxicating effects... watching the bazookas circus scene in Fear and Loathing also increases my interest in it as well.. hah. Has anyone done it? what was it like? would u do it again? is it like the bazookas cicus scene or is that a lil overblown of the real thing?
This is what I mean when i say somethings cause nobody is informing you what Ether is I would hope you are not going to sniff "Starting Fluid" because thats not ether. I will inform you that i have inhalent experience. so dont sniff nothing at all. Every human is designed differently though i uses Trichloroethylene to inhale i would advise against anyone else to try it. You should not just sniff shit to get high on > Make sure its been used in the past for a legit medical reason. And i would doubt you coud get your hands on pure ether. and as far as that effect of ether is misleading. It does not produce laughing gas effects. and it is also flammable. One should not huff flammable solvents. If you are instrested in compressed gasses break your virginity with Nitrous Oxide which can be bought on the net under WIPPED CREAM>
well the only way to find out is to try it, seeing that your a Thompson fan just "Buy the ticket and take the ride"
Its not worth it dude. I've been on quite a few ether binges in my younger days and its always fucking bad. Raoul Duke: Ah, devil ether. It makes you behave like the village drunkard in some early Irish novel. Total loss of all basic motor function. Blurred vision, no balance, numb tongue. The mind recoils in horror, unable to communicate with the spinal column. Which is interesting because you can actually watch yourself behaving in this terrible way, but you can't control it.
Don't always believe what you see in the movies; Fear and Loathing is a good movie, don't get me wrong, but almost everything is over-exaggerated. -DP
yes inhaling ether vapor will get you high, no it's not like the movie, and yes it is really bad for you long term. that said it has been used as a medical/vet anastetic forever and you can easily make it yourself (if you know what a still is). google it.
i've done ether plenty of times in the past, ands its nothing like that description. its more like n20 with less euphoria and more dissasociative-like qualities. after a while its just not that great, but at first its really fun lol.
Another Thompson quote: The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. And I knew we’d get into that rotten stuff pretty soon. Probably at the next gas station. We had sampled almost everything else, and now – yes, it was time for a long snort of ether. And then do the next hundred miles in a horrible, slobbering sort of spastic stupor. The only way to keep alert on ether is to do up a lot of amyls – not all at once, but steadily, just enough to maintain the focus at ninety miles an hour through Barstow.
Actually, I found ether to be a lot like the scene in Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas. It's kind of like being super drunk, but more aware of everything around you. I would not do it again. I didn't exactly get any bad effects from it, but something tells me that it's a thing to try a few times and then stop.
my buddy did either tabs and said he wanted to get up and move but he couldnt... was just paralized almost
my friends and i do ether a few times a week. its just really fun to say the least. it can get pretty fucking annoying. constant noises in your head echoes. we call them the "wahwahs" because you constantly have that noise going in the back of your head.. if you do get high enough. your head will catch certain noises and pile them onto the constant wah wah. so you have a bunch of noises going on echoing. honestly. the high only lasts for about 30 minutes in my case. i would MUCH rather do ether. then meth or coke or anything of that sort. just please be safe and make sure you didnt get any of the starting fluid into your "ether" it will fuck you up. bad.
Ether is bad for your body and bad for your brain. it may not be as bad as soemthing like computer duster, but it is definitely not something that should be used to get high. BAD STUFF! The Mushroom Man
Ether is a great solvent, but don't huff it. You could use it to extract or polish up a large variety of extractions that you may be working on, boil it in a rbf held in your hands, and enjoy the aroma fleeting from the flask in a suitably ventilated area, normally distilling is the green thing to do but really its no big thing from time to time. Too much exposure in any case is going to cause big problems...there are far worse solvents, but there are far better drugs.
Huffing ether is VERY fun. prolly hurts you but what doesnt? It always did to me exactly like the scene in Fear and Loathing. Super drunk, and nothing you can do about it. Its really addictive though. I used to do it a lot until once i mixed it with dxm, and huffed a TON of it, and woke up with shit on the floor and no IDEA how it got there. So I havent touched it since. Inhalants arent the smartest thing anyway, but ether is NOT as bad as many people make it out to be. It used to be a sedative used by hospitals in the 50s.
ether is great and terrible at the same time. it's like a warm thick blanket of impairment on your brain paired with a VERY strong desire for more, always. i don't recommend it.
You know you do too many drugs if while reading that line, you hear johnny depp crystal clear speaking those same words, speech pattern and all. Whats worse is the fact it makes me want to watch it again!
when i was 18 in school we had a lab experiment which needed ether to be done, so I inhaled it in school, waste of time just like n2o, dxm n all those other bullshit highs... stick to real drugs....
