I honestly have no clue.....I personally havent read any of the stories,,,,but i know a lot of people that have....
My ex-boyfriend's mother had an entire room of her house dedicated to Harry Potter. It was a beautiful room, too. I like the movies, but I've never really been able to get into the books.
from what i understand, they're really well written, fast reads that are obviously very interesting. i've never read any of the books but i know a lot of ppl who love them
Well- I'm sure the publishing company isn't going to object too much and I doubt the fact that you seem to look down upon the adults who enjoy the series is going to bother them too much either.
its a book for all ages to be entertained by maybe it was started as a kids book, but it definately is suitable for adults too. i know plenty of adults and plenty of children who love the books.
You don't get the condescending piss contest someone is having over grown adults reading what is purported to be a children's book?
I think it's meant to be incontrovertible proof of the fact that adults reading it is infantile... or something along those lines. Basically this discussion is intended to belittle grown people who enjoy modern literature.
yeah i dug the movies for the simple fact that i am a huge Fantasy geek and if there are unicorns and warlocks you can count me in =) never read the books, the thing is the books were aimed at one age group and as that age group got older the books matured with them!
They're the last two pages of the last book. I don't see any problem with adults reading Harry Potter. What's wrong with enjoying something? It certainly is better than sneering at other people for enjoying themselves.
