I didn't see a post on this one yet, so here goes.... What did you think of Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle? I'm really curious b/c all my friends LOVE it, and I thought it was really dumb. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that nearly all my friends are stoners and I'm not. Just wondering...? We actually had a discussion about which was funnier: H&K or The 40 Year Old Virgin, which I loved and they thought was dumb. So I feel really outnumbered!
I loved both of those movies...yeah I guess if you dont smoke you might not find H&K as funny..but I saw even before I was really smoking much and I still thought it was hysterical...personal opinion I guess.
you found it dumb because you dont smoke the magic plant. i thought it was real funny, but also corny at times. Their releasing a second part, H&K go to Amsterdam...so i wouldnt bother seeing that if i were you.
i smoke a lot and i thought that it was rather funny but at times you were like WTF is going on. This is sooo weird! I fell asleep during 40 year old virgin so i guess that tell you something, but then again i was really tired. so who knows...
I thought both movies where awesome, actually there both one of my favorite movies. Its probley cause you don't smoke, cause well if you know what the munchies are like then you know you'll do almost anything to get what your craving. Or at least I do. But it was an awesome movie, but it all depends on your sence of humor.
I though H&K was really really funny. My favorite part was when Harold and Kumar stole those deuchebags' truck and that Wilson Phillips song was playing and they start busting out singing it. I laughed so hard. I don't smoke all that much and still thought it was entertaining.
i think it's funny even if you don't smoke because it tackles a lot of stereotypes in a smart way that doesn't insult anyone. like the guy in jail who's fat, black, can't dance, and has two gay fathers. that's great. but yeah, if you know what the munchies are like, its so much better.
I really enoyed Harold and Kumar... I loved the part when Kumar was peeing on that bush and that random guy comes up and starts pissing on the same bush. I'm a big stoner, I admit, and I laughed my way through that movie on several occasions. As for The Forty-Year Old Virgin, I loved that, too. I bought it for myself, for my father and for my mother for Christmas, too. I thought it was brilliant. I really don't see how the two *could* be compared, though, except that they're both comedies, perhaps...
Harold and Kumar was so funny, that part when neil patrick harris drives by in harolds car on E with the hookers, i was laughin so hard.
