i know this may be in the wrong category but... i was listening to "give peace a chance" and at the end he mentions hare krishna (i looked over the lyrics to spell it) and i was just wondering if any of you could please inform me on who or what hare krishna is
they are a buddisht or hindu, i forget, they were very popular back in the day, i sure you could easily find more, and better detailed info with a quick google
Krishna is a hindu god i believe. Hare Krishna is like praise Krishna or I love Krishna or something, I'm not sure. The hippies back in the day used to chant hare krishna on street corners and at be-ins and stuff.George Harrison became a hindu I think too cause in the Concert for Bangladesh he said Hare Krishna a few times and It's part of the backround vocals in "My Sweet Lord"
he wasn't convicted, his mother scolded him and he opened his mouth and manifested the whole universe in his mouth to remind his mother that he was a god. anyway, krsna (as it's supposed to be spelled) is the human manifestation of the hindu god vishnu. Vishnu is the protecter/preserver god. Stories about Krsna can be read in the world's longest epic: The Mahabharata, which contains the Bhagavad-Gita. It's a pretty interesting story.
Well it is only Krsna when you add the dots below the R, S and N indicating the sanskrit prononciation And what/who Krishna is depends on how you view it. In mainstream Hinduism, yes, he is a manifesation of the god Vishnu, but if it is Hare Krishna or ISKCON then Krishna is the supreme godhead
yip what burby said and you can't be a -hare- krishna like people say sometimes, you can be a hare krishna devotee though. just needed to say that, i'm tired of people yelling: look, hare krishna's!
convicted means there is no doubt about the action taken... Krishna is called Gopala or Butter Thief by millions of His devotees so are you saying his was scolded unjustly? it seems you have a linguistic aptitude problem here and with your not understanding that Krishna is a phonetic pronunciation of its sanskrit equivalent as is Krsna. As English was not spoken or written at the time of Krishna, there would be in fact no correct time period english spelling of his name Krishna's contemporaries in Braja never appreciated Krishna as God... he was always just a charming flute player... soon after Krishna had showed his mother this form, she forgot about it went on worrying about him and his welfare
lol, you can be a hare krishna DEVOTEE not hare krishna himself saying you are a hare krishna is like saying you are a jesus
harry krishna... that was krishna's first name... most often its spelled "hare" but its pronounced harry
