Lisa used to love to dance
Ever since she was ten years old
Her bare feet raising dust on the yard
    Where the grass wouldn't grow
    Slowly spinning 'round and 'round
With music playing in her head
And late at night it could almost drown out
The whiskey on her old mans breath
The wrecking yards and the dingy bars
    And abandoned factories
But down amongst the jaggered souls
    A ballerina sways unseen

Hard edges hide the tender heart
    Silent as a midnight prayer
Hard edges hide the sweetest parts
So you'd never know they're there

Lisa is in a club down town
Where the neon burns 'till dawn
    She calls herself Tina now
But she dances to the same old song
    Slowly spinning 'round and 'round
In the smoke and the smell of rye
She takes off all her clothes
So they don't look down in her eyes
The scarlet rues and blue tattoos
    They're only painted on
And underneath the dark drum beat
A ballerina dances on.. On and on

Hard edges hide the tender heart
    Silent as a midnight prayer
Hard edges hide the sweetest parts
So you'd never know they're there

I'm working on something in Deutsch so brush up on your German. =p
I think translating it is going to lose it big time. =[

Sweet! I'm slowing plodding along in my German lessons.
I've been wanting to start with writing German haiku.

Looking forward to the next one!

("...well done, come and chat with us if you like whenever..." went the goblin, adding "...if you keep us company then we'll keep you company too...", in fact, the goblin too, had done some poems in his time, but was more into livewriting now)

("...naah, I'm not the PM type, I'm just a goblin like any other I suppose, where the poetry is just part of the persona one creates of oneself here, where the other aspects are too numerous to mention here..." replied the goblin ever one to help posters gain the most from their posts, adding "...btw your poem would look even better with a picture, where if do a google search you might hit gold coming across the perfect picture to enhance its sentiment, no not for your readers here, for your muse now, I mean you how it is, you feed her with pictures and texts, and she then feeds you back something...")
