Harassment - Need a moderator's help PLEASE!

I recently had to change my name from bassplayerjojo to myaphrodesiac, because I dated a guy who was a little nutso, and he was following me around on the forums and threatening me (via email, careful not to do anything that would get him banned).

Now I KNOW he's found me under my new username...now he knows I know it's him. He's called me a **** and he says he won't leave me alone. Help.

I shouldn't have to change my username AGAIN! Can anyone help me out...? I don't want to just ignore him on my end...

 

Ergg, sorry don't know what to tell you... you can put him on your ignore list, or I could make some idle threats to leave you alone... other then that you'll just have to ignore him and try to get him banned, but he'll probably just come back.

Some MOD please give her better advice.

 

Write a PM to one of the Moderators or Skip. There's nothing any of us will be able to do about it.

 

I did PM Skip with the offensive posts. We shall see what happens...

If he was Emailing you, you (On the worst case scenario) Report him to the Feds for Stalking. Has anyone done anything yet?

Well, nothing so far has happened, we haven't run in to each other. He IS on the boards under another username, GypsyTrane. He has pm'd me once to say "you suck" and send me a link to a thread he made about me.
I know from mutual friends that he has moved on a bit, at least in his sex life...
I'll always have my guard up though.

 

Just hope the mods kick him girl :$

 

He's been banned. I checked on him and found out it had already been taken care of.

I noticed that you've been reacting to him. Why are you doing this? That is what he wants you to do. Negative attention is better than no attention and he will take whatever you will give.

My suggestion to you is to not read any of his posts, at all. If you see a post with his name on it, in a thread that you are participating in, skip over it. You do not have to read it and you certainly don't have to respond to it. Just act as if he never wrote anything. If he sends you a PM, delete it without reading it. You have the power to do this.

And if anyone asks "Hey, that guy is talking to you, why aren't you responding?" You can simply reply "Because he is stalking me, so I am ignoring him." No biggie...

He may stop eventually... He may never stop... No bother, either way it will have no real effect on you. Unless you like the attention, then you'll kinda miss it for a while if he does stop, but you'll get over it I'm sure.
