For those living in the southern emisphere (the minority I know). For the others... Happy start of Autumn, which also has its charm. But it happens that this is a pretty special day for those of us who are... let's say 40+. It is that before globalization imposed February 14 (Valentine's Day) as the day of love, September 21 fulfilled that function on this side of the world. And it still is for seniors, although the younger ones were absorbed by globalization.
the primal points of the year, are universal regardless of culture or belief. personally i regard them and the center points or 'henges' of their seasons rather then their beginnings or endings. they all make a good occasion to celebrate and hug each other, at least in the company of those not averse to universal affection.
That's interesting. A bit of history we Northerners were not aware of! Meanwhile, Happy Spring! I hope you have an enjoyable summer this year
Yes, but that's not the case here. I would say quite the opposite. The weather was unusually cold today. With rain in the city of Córdoba and even snow in the mountain area, which largely ruined the festivals and other events, for celebring Spring, that were prepared outdoors, since usually the temperature is around 20 C. But this year it was only a few degrees over the freezing point. Yeah... weather is crazy; like the world is.
That is crazy... after such a hot summer - I agree the weather is sure crazy. Here we have been getting lots of rain, in the desert. Weird. Now frogs are arriving, like... is it the end of times or what?
