What's the music that you can't help but sing along to, no matter how shitty your day was? What's the song you find yourself dancing to whenever you hear it? What's the song that plays over and over in your mind when you're in a good mood?

I always catch myself singing along to Sublime's 40 Oz. to Freedom. Every time. I can't help myself, it just gets under my skin like that. I love nearly every song on that album, it just radiates summer and freedom and partying with friends. Their song STP does that for me, too.
I also LOVE the Pixies. I've rediscovered them and they're my favourite band at the moment. The song Gigantic always makes me happy, it's got such an infectious tune and beat. And Debaser is a happily manic song, too. The pixies always make me think of embarking on a Hunter Thompson adventure, ripping through the desert in a shiny red convertible and wondering when the drugs are going to kick in.
Dressy Bessy, who people only know from the But I'm a Cheerleader soundtrack, are so catchy in such a fun, bouncy, sunshine-and-bubblegum Powerpuff Grrls kind of way. They're great for driving down the highway sipping on cherry slurpees on a really hot day on a road trip with your 3 best friends or something.
In my house, we always put on the Ramones and dance in the kitchen. They're definitely party music.
Bob marley, of course, is the king of feel-good music. You can dance to his music and you can relax to it. You can play it at a party and you can play it around a campfire. And you always, always find yourself singing along.

Mr Blue Sky - ELO is so freaking happy

The Black Seeds, anything and everything by them rocks (especially the song So True, the lyrics, the vibe and the video for that just remind me so much of a kiwi summer)

um, The Coral, The Thrills are quite summery

Katchafire is great too - Hey Girl, Rainbow, Skankin are all awesome
