You two have keep this thread at the TOP of the Subject List in "Hippies".
You two are our Saviors. You have recreated this space. Just 2 people.
Keep it UP. This is Wise.

  5. Well this old house is a bit empty right now and I have just made enough dhal with spinach and potatoes to feed a small army so hopefully old and new residents will turn up to get the party going again. Kenny, when I get time I WILL read your piece on the museum. When I was last here in 2012/13 You were talking bout it. So glad to read that it is all coming together!

    No Room

Me, myself, and I can never agree,
Upon if anyone is in charge around here,
But we all remain positively certain,
That, at least, the lights are still on,
Because we appear to be cast adrift in a small lifeboat!
We could obviously use all the friends we can get,
But, none of us has a clue as where to put them!

  10. Cool! So what has everyone been doing since I've been away? Me?
    Moved from Spain to Scotland.
    Worked far too much.
    Started collecting my state pension.
    Fell heir to wee dog
    Took on an allotment
Had a really crap time after knee surgery
    but it's all good!!!
Let's try and make the house a bit more than just a shadow of it's former self.

Hi, all! Are you up for someone new? I used to hang out on the site a few years ago under a different username.

A bit about me:I live on Canada's east coast in a tiny fishing village. My wife and I have a few acres of woodland. I have been retired (from IT work) for a few years.

Welcome, does that make you an expert on fishing online or using a net?

Nice to see some live in the brewey here..still enough rooms vacant now in this house since the inhabitants have been winter or summer sleeping(ahah)a good sense of humour is necessary in life,me thinks..i am a retired coalminer since 1994=20 years underground...not bad...it was quite an adventure..so i can say i spent my years above ground when i took a plane, and underground in my job...now i am in the middle=not underground or above ground(ahah):grinning::smile::smiley:

  17. Hi people! finally (scottish weather old tiger) seeing some headway with the allotment thank fuck! Early variety potatoes in, onions in, ground prepared for salad stuff and growing in the house tomato, chilli and peppers ready to make the trip down the road to their permanent abode.
I wonder if this old house will ever see the likes of its former self when peeps were clammering for a room and the conversation and shenanigans were 24/7!

Must be nice. Garden progress here is, "Yay! The snow finally melted!" The ground might even be thawed enough to till. I might pull the straw mulch off the rhubarb in a couple of weeks.
