Well I'm proud to say its now about four years since I owned a pair of fucking shoes! I have been completely barefoot all that time, prior to that I was barefoot about 99% of the time!

So how did I celebrate? At the fucking doctors surgery....my three year old fuckwit son had been jumping off the furniture at our elderly next door neighbours house - off the dining room table would yo believe, and he sprained his bloody ankle. I was at home gardening, so quickly raced him up to the emergency doctor.

Sat in the waiting room for hours, weekends are very busy, was wearing just my bikin top and a pair of tight, skinny jeans with absolutely filthing barefeet from gardening, and thought how neat it was to be barefoot at the doctor, rested my feet on the magazine table so everyone could see my soles, what a brilliant fucking show!

Thought how neat it was to be barefoot wherever I wanted to be - there is absolutely no where I felt uncomfortable about being barefoot!

I don't wear shoes, and encourage others to do the same, but you seem to be "barefoot trash". The sort of person that people think I am when they see me walking around barefoot, the sort of stereotype I have to fight. And you seem to feel the need to make some sort of point about it, which makes it doubly worse for anyone who's NOT your type of barefoot trash and fighting to barefoot in a legitimate and respectable fashion.

Im sorry you feel I am 'barefoot trash' whatever that means! Maybe in New Zealand things are a little different, and maybe I dont express myself in the way you feel appropriate! Obviously I am 100% barefoot, but I can certainly look attractive and sophisticated while remaining barefoot, may be I am too descriptive in the points I make - please be fair, you dont know me and you certainly dont really know my lifestyle.

As for letting my three year old son go supermarket shopping without his nappies on, I really dont see what the fucking issue is, he's three for fucks sake! I want him to feel comfortable about his body, and this is quite natural for me!

waving uber filthy soles in the face of people may not be the best way to promote barefooting but this does not condone being total dicks on the forums. :cuss: . this is the hip forums, right ?
    just my opinion, though.

I'd rather have someone around me who is loud, dares speaking her mind and wiggling her bare and dirty toes in the face of mainstream than barefooters who are careful not to get their feet dirty, afraid of what the others might think.

I sometimes have dirty feet and show them with pride, too, especially after enjoying the feeling of mud or sand underfoot.

Solemum, be sure that Germany is all in favor of you and your in-your-face approach of barefooting in public (well, this German at least... :D ). And even if people are dubbing you as being "white trash" you could wear that badge with pride, as the book "The White Trash Mom Handbook: Embrace Your Inner Trailerpark, Forget Perfection, Resist Assimilation Into the PTA, Stay Sane, and Keep Your Sense of Humor" suggests:
"Mothers are expected to do the impossible on a daily basis, wearing six-inch pumps and a thong. The expectations are insane and moms can't win this battle. Since the mothers are set up to fail, I believe we should fight back by whatever method we can. We can't play by the rules, because the rules, in the words of my teenager... suck."

Just keep being who you are, as loud and in-your-face as you are - I like you just the way you are. And I would've loved to have had such a mom as you.
    :2thumbsup:

    Wiggling sometimes dirty bare toes,

I'm def with nuspieds, jagerhans and ganesha on this. There all sorts of barefooters and all sorts of reasons to do it. Showing off dirty feet is totally fine, i do it often but mostly cause i sit cross legged a lot so whomever can see black soles if they want. And they can turn away or dislike me.....I don't care. I'm personally not trying to be some sort of cosmic ambassador for barefooting. That being said, since its different strokes for different folks. I get someone not liking some aspects of it. But there's no need to be strident about it.

Just being barefoot does not make someone worthy of respect, and this person seems intent on being as offensive as she can, in just about every way she can, and calling it "liberal". It's not "liberal" to have no manners or sense of how to speak around your kid, it's not liberal to have no respect for anyone or anything and let your kids run wild while putting your muddy feet on peoples magazines.

In answer to ganesha, and what I think was directed at me, no, I'm not trying to cleanse barefooting or something, mud happens, it's fine, but you won't convince anyone of the merits of barefooting by being remarkably rude and in their face, and intentionally getting mud on their shit.

I was recently at the doctors, and nobody said a word (although I got stuck with a seat next to some trend-obsessed high school girl-she moved as soon as another seat was available and went from looking at me uncomfortably out of the corners of her eyes to staring and giggling with her new seat-mates.... I was relieved) but I personally would have said something if someone with no ability to mind their fuckin' manners or language in public or around their kids came in and put muddy feet on the waiting room table. I don't think it's acceptable, and I think this woman needs to learn some respect. I would also think it was disrespectful if someone put muddy SHOES on that table.

So..... play in the mud while your kid gets injured, then go and try to make some sort of point at the doctors by making everyone uncomfortable with barefoot-ness..... YOU'RE obviously NOT the reason people tell me it's trashy and unsanitary and I have to throw logic in their faces :2thumbsup:

Im really getting pissed off at being the butt of this discussion! I didnt intentionally get my feet dirty, they just were, and I had to drive quickly to the emergency doctor with my son.
I am not 'barefoot trash' as you call it - I have never been on welfare, I have three part time jobs, I own three investment properties an my bf owns a successful businesses, so if personal wealth is a measure of 'trash' I dont think I qualify. I have degrees in sociology, a postgraduate degree in economics - so be fucking careful who you call barefoot trash!

I enjoy my lifestyle, my children are well cared for and loved. They certainly have more freedom than others, but thats my fucking business not yours! You are starting to sound like my fucking MIL!

I think this forum needs women participating, there doesnt seem to be many, so please be careful how personal you get! Yes I may be a bit of an exhibitionist with my barefeet, but certainly I am not hurting anyone!

Please treat me with a little more personal respect!

Nope i didn't say that dickweed. get ur quote interpretation right. Maybe its cause ur an attitudinal 20 yr old?

If ur so sensitive about how u NEED to defend urself u shud maybe get another attitude. Throwing logic in someones face ain't gonna cut it. Sorry but if someone starts telling me or anyone how to behave based on their narrow view, fuck them. There was a guy on here who insisted if u were not a "hippy" and have "hippy" views about barefooting he wanted those people to go away.

Oh and btw while i do support Bradley Manning perhaps since i sincerely don't like u as supporter I should write my Senators and demand Bradley's ass gets stuck in prison for life. Is that what you advocate with your childish attitudes?

That's absolutely classic, typical, white trash crap, thinking that what they have makes them something.

"I gots me 13 mobe-iale homes n' wuts left o' 3 chevy's, back in the holler, watch who you's a'callin trash, fore I take ya ter be a ****** symperthizer!"

No, you can have all you want and be trash.

Kids having freedom is fine, kids being blatantly mistreated is another. And the various things you've said around the forum about your kids makes things pretty clear.

In relation to the paragraph following this, again, to other posters, I do not think that sharing a personal choice to not wear shoes makes someone an ally. There are pot smokers who defy the norm and are horrible people, there are computer geeks who are horrible people, there are people who wear sneakers, boots, sandals, and everything in between who are horrible people. There is no reason that not wearing shoes makes someone's other behavior excusable.

I think we have plenty of women, especially when compared to most forums or the web at large. You're not being judged based on sexuality, this is a very open place. You're being judged for acting like general trash, and then being proud of it. We get it, you just do what most people don't want you to do, as opposed to picking and choosing the best of every world. ( )

    Just two short lines:

    1. Four years off shoes is great. Congrats! Probably NZ would be a nice destination for emigration when the European economy will collapse.

    2. Some posts in this thread (mainly from one certain poster) are really sickening. I thought we meet here to share experiences and thoughts, helpful hints etc. A forum made by and for hippies is the last i expect derogatoring judgements about other people. No one needs to find ok what others do, but i thinks it's wrong to make a verdict from.

    Just my two cents.
