I'm bringing both of my children (ages 2 & 3) to the Gathering for the first time this year. I've brought one with me in the past, but not both. With kids comes a lot of gear. Since my wife and I will each have a child on our backs, I'd like to take a handcart.

Does anyone know a good type of cart that will stand up to the terrain? Any ideas where to acquire one?

    Much love and Peace!

If ya know the kids can travel on your back go with golf Cart Bag haulers that DONT have the "V" frame or Folding ones.

Go with the sturdier Box type Stronger one.

Hard to find but pop up alot here around the Florida Golf Course thrift stores.

I haul a Full frame pack on my Back, A school back pack hanging on my front and can haul up to 275lbs on these sturdier Golf Bag carriers if centered right over the axle (Key word there CENTERED). I have even hauled Sick Mama's, Kid's and Folks on it out of the woods also. The best thing for ALL terrains (Fla sand, Giant Boulders in Center of trail, Logs, streams. I only have a Milk crate or Soda flat screwed to it and can pick it up half loaded or help from a brother when fully loaded to cross anything.

I'm tall and HAVE to extend the handle but everyone else doesnt seem to have too.

I got to say as a papa, i have use different types of carts and with kids i would say the cart turnup is talking about is sweet to have. air filled tires roll over about everthing ,and you can put alot of wieght on those things like a 1000 pounds or something. but if i was going just me and my girl i think bill's rig of a golfcart is great and i recall telling him so at one of my first ocalas. having wheels under your stuff is nice, and with kids there is stuff.
at the california national i had an orchard cart and people were hooking me up to help pack them in and out, i thought what a good gig. i didnt say anything i just would be walking with an empty cart and someone would say hey.
being a brick mason i have used whell barrows and they are nice. but it is easier to pull than push.

I've been looking at one-wheeled game carts like the ones hunters use to pull dead stuff out of the woods.

The Lowe's cart looks very nice. I was originally afraid of tip-overs on trail rocks, but I'll bow to the experience of others. before I buy it though, does anyone have experience with these "game carts?" They look kinda like one-wheeled stretchers and can be seen at the Cabela's website.

    Many thanks!!

we used one of these wagons at the Colorado gathering ......we simply tied everything down ...saved us sooo much time and energy ...they work great on easier terran if you plan to rock climb ...you may need to modify them with more handles.

if you have a harbor freight near by they have them on sale for $60 all the time.....

and the carts say 1000lbs ....but do not over load them keep it to half if that ...better to do more trips then to have your cart break....
