So yeah, I roll my own smokes. How many others do? brands? homegrown?
know of any organic tobacco suppliers?

Why do you roll yours? Why not?

    any other opinions?

i really like rollies better than taylored ciggarettes. ive converted a few people across. the feel of rolling one is more rewarding too, as well as giving one something to do. its sooooo much cheaper to roll one's own, and it lasts so long comparatively. also you can roll any size cigarette you want when you roll your own. on top of all this, i find it tastes better and fuller, other people have commented thus. a fresh pouch can tell you a lot about the tobacco, smells can be very sweet and fruity or very woody and toasted

Cheaper, Better tasting, and BETTER FOR YOU???

at first I was thinking that hand-rolled must be worse for me from the lack of filter... then i got to thinking.

the amount of tobacco I roll up into a ciragette is only about 1/3 of what is put into a taylor made. less tobacco=less tar and nicotine

then I gave the two what I shall dub the "blacklight test"
i rolled a cigarette, layed out some rolling tobacco, and laid out a taylor made.
then hit em with the blacklight.....
the damn taylor made lit up like Chernobyl! splash marks of god only knows what terrible chemicals.

the rolling tobacco and rolled cigarette looked normal... well the gum on the rolling paper had a little hue.

I used Drum rolling tobacco for the test...

so i conclude: less tar, less nicotine, & no radioactive chemicals of unknown origin = a much better way to smoke.

i find there is more nicotine in a rollie compared to a taylored cigarette, and you can get more smoke from them too.

i think that there are less chemicals in rolled tobacco but the trade off is higher tar content and higher nicotine amount than taylored tobacco smoke.

yeah, a bit of orange peel works as well.

    Roll me own... smoke Drum.

Tailormades are a waste of lungpower, no nicotine in 'em.
