Gotta admit ya not ment to use them there hot and wastful on electric but they do veg plants quite well but has anybody bloomed using halogen lights?. Cant remember the k rating any ideas peep's?
I know that but there dirty cheap and rated at 2700-5000k depending on type quatz tungsten. 2700k red blooming and 4000k blue or same as summer sunshine would be. Just wanted to know if anybody had used one.
Not cheaper in the long run when you add electric costs I would've thought and the heat they generate is crazy, thats where most of the energy goes. Growing equipment is an investment and the better your environment the better the result!
no, Long ago we did and it became scrawny.. maybe you can use them as a supplement along with hids.. But I really think its a waste. maybe the cross spectrums would be ok.. They are very hot.. bad idea.
Thanks orison ya a star was asking for a friend who gets free electric and wants to stuff a room as a one off grow but went a bit sheepish when i told them the price of hid's so they come up with the idea of halogen coz of the price.
CFL/CLF Ive had great use of thse light with little cost to get them. Use them for vg cyc/ power up the heavy lights for flowering.. Saves a load of Cash Im telling you... Manic who is no longer with us willl tell you the samething.. I think this is why he moved on.. When running a stealth garden its the best things to do is to fluctuate the power/ electric use, Dont show a growing pattern. Im a electrician I can look on your electric bill and tell instantly what you run.. for the size of your home ect ect. Believe me they have been doing it alot longer than I.. Its a simple formula.. As you said for free, its coming from somewhere. In a apartment building. Very simple to tell it there a drain or over use in Power consumption.. This could result in a inspection by the buildings insurance company to find the loss. In case electric is seaping off course to a wall joint, ground or a some other load that could cause a fire.. I guess it depend on how smart your building owner is. And who works for him to make sure his building is safe for its occupants.
Good point that as you said someone must be picking up the tab for the electric and if it suddenly doubles then yeah there gonna get it checked out and find where its all going. Trouble is this guy I'm asking for is one of them people who always knows best and sometimes you really just cant tell him.
I have a freind now that has this building and I keep saying grwo op. he looks at me like im stupid, but I cant disclose to him I grow. I just hint it <wow I wish I had the time, place, all empty like that I couldnt do it cause I work and stuff. LOL. But for him to not grasp the idea its kinda ironic since he buys weed from me at Taxman prices and believes it comes from somewhere else sometimes. You can lead a horse to water but you have to sell it to him before he smokes it.
A alot of people believe they cant grow or its just to hard to grow mj how foolish they are. I never sell but does get tempting when people say wow that good weed could ya get me some? I just grin and not really its from a growers personal stash and they just sell enough to cover cost. Back to my mate its the age old thing everybody wants to grow for as little cost as possible but its just one of them things you get out of it what you put in.
Yeah I always try to promote growing, I just say I used to grow blah blah blah...have convinced quite a few people since the gritweed hit the streets!
